Made of PVDF (also known as Kynar), these fittings have excellent strength and can handle temperatures as high as 240° F or 270° F. All fittings meet NSF/ANSI 61 and are safe to use for drinking water systems. They’re also known as flareless fittings.
Assemble fittings with a plastic sleeve without removing their nut. This built-in sleeve—commonly called a ferrule—compresses the tubing as you tighten the nut, creating a strong seal.
Fittings with a silicone O-ring create a strong seal for male BSPP threaded connections and resist high temperatures.

Use these nuts with high-temperature compression fittings for food and beverage to create a seal on plastic tubing. PTFE fittings are highly resistant to most acids, alcohols, detergents, and solvents. They’re made by machining. Their nut is made of PVDF, which is resistant to halogens such as chlorine and bromine, strong acids such as hydrofluoric and nitric acids, and organic solvents.
