More sustainable than standard UHMW, these sheets and bars are made from partially recycled material, so they have a lower carbon footprint. They help meet sustainability certifications such as LEED or Envision. Because the surface is slippery and resists wear, these sheets and bars are often used as machine guards, conveying equipment, and chute liners. However, this material has a lower tensile and yield strength than standard UHMW, so it should not be used in high tension environments. Also known as mechanical-grade UHMW.
