How to Identify and Measure Fittings
Pipe size is an industry designation, not the actual size. View information about how to measure threaded and unthreaded pipe and pipe fittings.

Grooved-End Iron Pipe Fittings

The grooved ends on these fittings connect to pipe with a clamp to easily install piping systems. Since there’s no heat or threading required, they provide quick access to a pipe line for routine maintenance. Fittings are also known as Victaulic fittings. They are for use in noncorrosive applications.
Inline tees are also known as branch tees.

Drain, Waste, and Vent Iron Pipe Fittings

Use these fittings in gravity-flow applications both above and below ground. They are also known as no-hub pipe fittings and soil pipe fittings. To connect, place the end of the fitting against your pipe or another fitting and connect with a low-pressure clamp-on connector (sold separately). The clamp-on connector is also known as a no-hub coupling. Fittings are for use in noncorrosive environments.
Inline tee reducing adapters are also known as branch tees.

- Temperature Range: 32° to 200° F
- Specifications Met: ASTM D1784, ASTM F441
- Pipe Nipples and Pipe: Use Schedule 80 CPVC Plastic
Use these clamps to connect easy-access CPVC pipe fittings and pipe. Clamps are enamel-coated iron for excellent strength and durability. They have a two-piece housing that can remain intact for installation. Clamps are also known as Victaulic clamps. They meet ASTM D1784 and ASTM F441 specifications and testing requirements for material quality.

Also known as Victaulic fittings, these have grooved ends that connect to pipe with a clamp, so you can access your chemical process line for routine maintenance. Fittings are CPVC, which has excellent chemical resistance to withstand a variety of salt solutions, acids, and other harsh substances. They are comparable to Corzan. Fittings meet ASTM D1784 specifications and testing requirements for material quality.
Warning: Never use plastic pipe fittings and pipe with compressed air or gas.

Low-Pressure Clamp-On Connectors for Water
Also known as no-hub couplings, these have a one-piece sleeve with a stop in the center, so you know your pipe is always aligned correctly. Tighten the bands to form a strong seal on rigid pipe of the same or different materials. Connectors are 304 stainless steel for good corrosion resistance.
Note: Copper tube size is the accepted designation of the copper tubing industry, not the actual OD.

- For Use With: Water
- Temperature Range: 0° to 180° F
- Specifications Met: ASTM A666, ASTM C564
- For Pipe Material: Stainless Steel, Iron, Steel, Aluminum, PVC Plastic
Vacuum Fittings for Steel Tubing

- For Use With: Air, Glass, Plastic Pellets, Resins, Wood Chips
- Temperature Range: -10° to 180° F
- Tubing: Galvanized Steel: Use with steel, galvanized steel
Steel: Use with steel
Use these fittings to create an air vacuum system without the hassle of brazing and welding. Insert two fittings into a clamp (sold separately) and tighten to form a secure seal.
Galvanized steel fittings have fair corrosion resistance. Fittings without a finish should only be used in noncorrosive environments.
