Pick up and move items using suction created by electricity—a good option when compressed air isn't available. Choose from complete kits that include everything you need to connect to your robot and start moving items, or individual components to build your own assembly and replace parts.
Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
Lifter kits include a vacuum generator, cables, and cups. Check the status of your lifter and adjust the vacuum levels right on the lifter. The integrated vacuum sensor sends information about an item's position to your controller, as well as triggers LED status indicators that show whether the arm is picking it up or releasing it. These lifters have near-field communication (NFC), so you can use a smartphone to read data, instructions, and error messages when you’re near the arm. Rated IP40, they're protected from wires and other objects 1 mm or larger. They're configured to work with specific robot arms, so choose the kit that matches your arm's manufacturer and model. Kits for Universal Robots are UR+ certified, so they've been tested and approved to work seamlessly. Plug the included software directly into your teach pendant to program the lifter.
Use standard vacuum lifter kits to move a wide variety of objects. They share information with your controller using both discrete I/O and I/O-link communication. Discrete I/O communication is a wired connection between the lifter and the controller, while I/O-link connects to an I/O-link master, which can communicate remotely over multiple networks. This remote connection shares more data than discrete I/O, so you can monitor energy use and predict when you'll need maintenance. Swap out or change the configuration using the parts listed here.
Miniature vacuum lifter kits are smaller and lighter than standard kits, so they won't weigh down your robot arm. However, the small size means they create less suction, so they're limited to smaller, lighter items than the standard kits. They use discrete I/O to communicate directly with your controller. Note: the additional parts listed here are not compatible with these kits.

Vacuum generators take electricity and create suction. They monitor the vacuum level, the position of your object, and the lifter's grip, and send this information to your robot controller. Generators with hardwire connection have a terminal block for connecting it to your controller. To quickly plug and unplug from your controller, choose a generator with socket connection.

Cup assemblies connect to the cup mount. Choose the number of cups on the assembly based on the items you're lifting. All assemblies include two styles of cups: flat cups work well with flat materials such as metal and cardboard, and cups with bellows that give you a tight hold on uneven workpieces. When your vacuum cups become worn or damaged, choose from our selection of vacuum cups.

No need to find separate robot tool mounts and electrical connectors, these grippers come ready to attach to robot arms with standard ISO 50 mounting hole patterns. Designed to run on compressed air, they’re often used to pick and place items in packaging, machine-tending, and machining applications. Use a regulator (not included) with your compressed air to manually adjust the air pressure that will open and close these grippers for grasping and releasing items from the inside and outside. Since these grippers will open and close at the same force and stroke with every cycle, they’re good for picking items of a similar size and material. If you need to pick items of varied sizes and materials from one cycle to the next, or items that are easy to compress, programmable electric grippers would be a better choice. When selecting a gripper, be sure to match your robot arm’s manufacturer series and model number. Fingers are not included.
These grippers work with your teach pendant, which signals an integrated solenoid valve, to activate the grippers. Two magnetic sensors send information about an item’s location to your robot arm. The sensors have an LED status indicator that shows you if the gripper has picked or released the item. All of these grippers are rated IP40 to prevent objects larger than 1 mm, such as wire, from making contact with a live circuit.
Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
Parallel grippers handle most shapes, including square, circular, and angled objects.
Circular grippers are best for a snug grip on round objects.
Grippers for Universal Robots (UR) arms are UR+ certified, so they've been tested and approved to work seamlessly. Plug the included software directly into your teach pendant to program the gripper.
Grippers with PNP signal output communicate proximity with a positive signal, while those with NPN signal output send a negative signal.

Attach adjustable finger mounts to your Schunk grippers, so they can handle a wider range of part sizes and shapes. Each mount has a removable positioning slide that moves along a rail, which has a scale for making adjustments. Connect your fingers to the slides, position them on the rail, and tighten the knob to secure them in place. Use one mount for as many fingers as your gripper will hold.

Removable positioning slides are part of the adjustable finger mounts. Add additional slides for tasks that require frequent finger changes. Having slides on hand with fingers already attached, makes it quick and easy to retool your gripper.
Electrical connectors change the M8 8-pin connection on your Schunk gripper to wire leads for hardwiring robots that don’t have an M8 8-pin connection.

Including a robot tool mount and electrical connectors, these grippers come ready to attach to robot arms with standard ISO mounting hole patterns. Good for areas without compressed air, they use electricity to pick and place items in packaging, assembly, and machine-tending applications. All have a servomotor that opens and closes the grippers with equal force to grasp and release items from the inside or outside.
Select grippers that match your arm’s manufacturer series and model number or that are compatible with your electrical connection and signal output. Grippers with PNP signal output communicate proximity with a positive signal, while those with NPN signal output send a negative signal.
Grippers for Universal Robots (UR) arms are UR+ certified, so they've been tested and approved to work seamlessly.
Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.

Discrete I/O grippers have four set gripping forces to move items—use a screwdriver to select the force you’ll need. Since these grippers open and close at the same force and stroke with every cycle, they’re good for picking items of a similar size and material. A discrete I/O signal and included inductive proximity sensor send information about an item’s location to your robot arm. All of these grippers are suitable for use in clean rooms rated to ISO Class 5. They’re also rated IP30 to prevent objects greater than 2.5 mm, such as a screwdriver, from making contact with live circuits.
For collaborative robot applications, choose a gripper with an LED status ring. With three programmable colors, the ring can show you if the gripper picked or released an item, or failed. All of these grippers meet ISO/TS safety requirements, which means they don’t have pinch points or sharp edges, so you can use them on robots that will be near people.

Profinet Type B grippers can be programmed to pick items of varied sizes and materials from one cycle to the next. Input and save the specific force you’ll need for each object you’ll be moving. A Profinet Type B signal sends information about an item‘s location to your robot arm. If these grippers and other devices are connected to your robot power supply at the same time, we recommend adding an external power supply to reach the maximum gripping force. These grippers are rated IP46 to prevent objects larger than 1 mm, such as wire, from making contact with a live circuit. They also withstand high-pressure jets of water, so they can be washed down. Those that come with fingers have fingers that work with a wide range of items, but can also be removed to add custom fingers.

I/O link and Profinet Type B grippers can be programmed to pick items of varied sizes and materials from one cycle to the next. They use an I/O link, which connects to the I/O link master that mounts into your Universal Robots (UR) controller, to send information about an item’s location to your Universal Robots arm. They also include a USB flash drive with software, called an URCaps plugin, that plugs into your Universal Robots teach pendant to program the gripper. All of these grippers are rated IP20 to prevent objects greater than 12.5 mm, such as a finger, from making contact with live circuits.
