Connect these internally threaded shafts directly to threaded components, or use a fastener to secure. They have a flat surface area that allows set screws to dig into the shaft for securely mounting gears, sprockets, and bearings. Shafts are 1045 carbon steel, a general purpose shafting material that balances high strength and good machinability. The edges are chamfered to remove sharp corners, reducing damage to bearings, housings, and other components during installation. All are turned, ground, and polished to meet tight diameter and straightness tolerances.

About half the strength of medium-strength steel threaded rods, use these for light duty hanging, mounting, and fastening.
Zinc-plated steel threaded rods are corrosion resistant in wet environments.

18-8 stainless steel threaded rods have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic.

More corrosion resistant than 18-8 and 410 stainless steel threaded rods, these 316 stainless steel rods have excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water and may be mildly magnetic.

One-third the weight of steel, aluminum threaded rods resist corrosion in wet environments and are nonmagnetic.

Often called sleeve nuts, these thread adapters fasten parts with right-hand threads to parts with left-hand threads.
Choose black-oxide steel adapters to match the aesthetics of your system or for their mild corrosion resistance. The finish won't chip or rub off. They resist rust in indoor and dry environments, but avoid using them in corrosive environments.
At about a third of the weight of steel adapters, aluminum adapters are the lightest we offer. They resist corrosion in wet environments.
18-8 stainless steel adapters have good corrosion resistance.
Black-oxide 18-8 stainless steel adapters have a black finish that won’t chip or rub off.
316 stainless steel adapters have the best corrosion resistance. They stand up to wet environments, just like 18-8 stainless steel adapters, but unlike 18-8 stainless steel adapters, they resist corrosion caused by salt water and harsh chemicals.
