Heat water through direct contact in sanitary areas such as food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical plants. Made of 316 stainless steel, these immersion heaters won’t corrode from harsh cleaners and sanitizers. To minimize bacteria growth and make them easier to clean, the heating element has an electropolished finish that’s free of crevices. Rated NEMA 4, their housing is protected against dirt and washdowns.

These heaters have screw plugs for mounting to threaded container openings or pipe couplings.

Heaters with an adjustable thermostat automatically turn on when the water drops below a set temperature and turn off once it reaches that temperature. Heaters without an adjustable thermostat require a temperature switch or controller (not included) to control heat output.

Note: Fully immerse the heating element in liquid to prevent heater failure.

Designed to measure temperature in dairy and food-processing applications, these probes are built to maintain sanitary standards. They have a sanitary quick-clamp connection that’s easy to disconnect for cleaning. IP65 and NEMA 4 rated, they seal out water from washdowns from top to bottom. The probes are polished stainless steel, so they're easy to clean and won't corrode from harsh cleaning chemicals or immersion in liquids or gases. The stainless steel also shields the sensor inside from impact, while magnesium oxide protects the wiring. Remove the cap on the head to wire the thermocouple to your application. The fitting is welded on, so you can’t adjust the probe’s length.

Pick the thermocouple type that best covers the temperature range you expect your liquid or gas to be. You should also make sure the thermocouple type you choose is compatible with the device you plan to connect it to. They’re often used with temperature controllers, thermometers, and other temperature-reading devices.

These thermocouples are manufactured to conform to ASTM E230 for accuracy. Accuracy is how far off the reported value is from the actual temperature.
