18-8 stainless steel screws have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. They are beveled under the head for use in countersunk holes. Length is measured from the top of the head.

Metric-size screws are comparable to PT screws. They have a round shank that evenly distributes contact between the screw and plastic, as well as a recess between each thread that allows extra material to pass through. This means they grip tightly to plastic and require little driving torque to install, reducing the risk of cracking your material. These screws have more sharply angled threads than inch-size screws, so they resist loosening and backing out from vibration, even while supporting heavy loads. They also need more force to pull out. You can reuse them.
