SDS-Max-Shank Masonry Drill Bits for Rotary Hammers

The SDS-Max shank has three deep slots and two shallow slots for use with SDS-Max-drive rotary hammers. These bits cannot be used with SDS-Plus-drive rotary hammers. Drill holes using simultaneous rotary and hammering action to break masonry material into tiny granules. This type of bit drills faster and penetrates material with less pressure than rotary-only bits. Also known as percussion or impact bits.
Multi-point drill bits have five carbide points on the tip, which provide longer life and reduce vibration for drilling smoother, rounder holes than standard-point masonry drill bits.

Changeable-Size SDS-Max-Shank Masonry Core Drill Bits for Rotary Hammers
These bits allow you to switch to another size by changing only the bit body. They are hollow and cut with their outside edge for drilling large holes. The SDS-Max shank has three deep slots and two shallow slots for use with SDS-Max-drive rotary hammers. They cannot be used with SDS-Plus-drive rotary hammers.
Drill holes using simultaneous rotary and hammering action to break masonry material into tiny granules. This type of bit drills faster and penetrates material with less pressure than rotary-only bits. Also known as percussion or impact bits. To achieve maximum drilling depth, break up and remove the core every 4” before drilling deeper.
Drill bits include a pilot drill to make starting holes easier.

SDS-Max-Shank Hollow Masonry Drill Bits for Dust Containment

When connected to a vacuum, these hollow bits can suck up concrete dust while drilling to help meet OSHA standards for silica dust exposure. They can also be used to clean out holes for installing adhesive anchors. The SDS-Max shank has three deep slots and two shallow slots for use with SDS-Max-drive rotary hammers. They cannot be used with SDS-Plus-drive rotary hammers.

SDS-Max-Drive Bosch Electric Rotary Hammers

A deeper drive system minimizes wobble for straighter, more accurate holes and better overall performance to other rotary hammers. A powerful and durable hammer mechanism lets you drill deeper, larger holes in masonry and concrete in less time than with hammer drills. Use with SDS-Max drill bits (see SDS-Max-Shank Masonry Drill Bits and SDS-Max-Shank Core Drill Bits). Note: SDS-Plus and SDS-Max bits are not interchangeable.
Use the rotary-only mode for general purpose drilling and driving fasteners (requires a chuck adapter or a magnetic bit holder). In rotary-percussion mode, the tool provides both a rotary drilling and hammering action. In the percussion-only mode, the tool provides only the hammering action. Use this mode when working with chisels and other masonry tools (see Chisels for Rotary Hammers).
All have a variable speed motor—the further you depress the trigger, the faster the speed. They also have a built-in safety clutch to protect you and the hammer if the bit gets stuck in your material. A chisel lock allows you to choose from 12 chisel positions to match the angle of many surfaces.
RH1255VC model provides smooth starts and won't slow down as you drill deeper.
