High-Temperature Flange-Mount Rope Edge Seals

In addition to high temperatures, these seals have a fiberglass cover and core that resists most refrigerants, salts, and grease. They’re flexible and compressible, and are often used as caulking and for filling expansion joints. The flange on these seals slides into a slot that is commonly found on oven, furnace, and boiler doors; it can be positioned to cover large gaps.

High-Temperature Chemical-Resistant Flange-Mount Rope Edge Seals

The PTFE coating on these fiberglass seals is slippery, so they are easier than the other seals to press fit into oven, furnace, and boiler doors. The PTFE resists most acids, alkalies, refrigerants, salts, and grease. The flange is also handy for positioning over uneven gaps.

Molten Metal Splash-Resistant Flange-Mount Rope Edge Seals

A silicone-coated fiberglass cover sheds sparks and molten metal splash while a stainless steel spring core bounces back when pressure is relieved. These seals resist steam, most refrigerants, salts, and grease. Ultra High-Temperature Chemical-Resistant Flange-Mount Rope Edge Seals

A ceramic cover makes these seals more chemical resistant than the seals with a silica cover. Seals resist acids (except hydrofluoric and phosphoric), diluted alkalies, most refrigerants, salts, and grease. The flange on these seals slides into a slot that is commonly found on oven, furnace, and boiler doors; it can be positioned to cover large gaps.

Non-Hardening Thread Sealants with PTFE

PTFE provides a slippery surface that keeps threads from binding. These sealants never fully harden, remaining pliable enough to self-heal and stop leaks before they start, so they’re often used in high-vibration applications that could cause standard thread sealants to fail. Since they have low locking strength, these sealants can be adjusted without tools.
Sealants that meet NSF/ANSI 61 adhere to safety standards for drinking water systems.

Thread Sealants for Oxygen Systems

Completely free of oil and chemically inert, these sealants are safe to use with wet and dry oxygen systems. They contain PTFE, which provides a slippery surface that keeps threads from binding. These sealants are non-hardening, remaining pliable enough to self-heal and stop leaks before they start, so they’re often used in high-vibration applications that could cause standard thread sealants to fail. Since they have low locking strength, these sealants can be adjusted without tools.
The sealant in a tube is a good alternative to thread sealant tape—like tape, it forms PTFE strings between tightened threads, but excess material liquefies, so it won’t clog system components downstream.

Gauge Guards

Also known as isolators or diaphragm seals, these protect gauges from corrosive process media. Fill guards with hydraulic oil (not included) before use.
316 stainless steel guards provide excellent corrosion and chemical resistance and can handle higher temperatures and pressures than plastic guards.
Guards with drain port allow you to remove process media.
