Interference-Shielding Expandable Sleeving
Use this braided copper sleeving to protect wire and cable from signal distortion caused by nearby equipment and devices. It’s expandable, so it stretches to fit over items for easy installation, then tightens around its contents for a secure fit. The braided construction permits heat and moisture to dissipate. Cut with sheet metal snips.

Interference-Shielding Wrap-Around Sleeving
Use this shielded sleeving to protect wire and cable from signal distortion caused by nearby equipment and devices. A sewn-in ground wire dissipates any stored charge. It provides good protection against abrasion. Wrap it around wire and cable without disconnecting them; sleeving has a slit along the entire length.
Sleeving with an overlap closure wraps over itself and stays closed without an adhesive strip or other closure, so it can be removed and reused. Sleeving with an adhesive strip closure is permanently sealed when the adhesive is applied.
Sleeving with copper wire shielding is ultra-flexible, so it’s good for applications that require tight turns. Sleeving with foil shielding is for use in stationary applications. Repeated flexing will damage the foil.
Polyester fabric sleeving has good abrasion and tear resistance. Polyurethane rubber sleeving provides excellent resistance to solvents.
Flame rated VW-1 sleeving meets requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test with vertically suspended material.

Continuous-Flex Wrap-Around Sleeving
Often used to protect wire, cable, and hose in robotics and other automated applications, this highly flexible sleeving withstands continuous motion without tearing or fraying. It can even be used over cable and hose carriers for an added layer of protection. This sleeving opens along its entire length, so there’s no need to disconnect lines or use tools for maintenance such as adding or removing cable.
Polyurethane sleeving has a conductive cloth lining that shields against signal interference caused by nearby equipment and devices. A sewn-in ground wire dissipates any stored charge. The adhesive strip closure seals permanently, so you’ll need to replace this sleeving if you open it. This sleeving resists oil and grease.
Interference-Shielding Heat-Shrink Tubing
- Material: Polyolefin Plastic
- Shrink Ratio: 2:1
- Dielectric Strength: 500V/mil
- Shrink Temperature: 215° F
- Temperature Range: -65° to 275° F
- Specifications Met: UL Recognized Component
A layer of conductive cloth protects wire and cable from signal interference caused by nearby equipment and devices. This tubing is often used to cover a terminal where an existing shield has been stripped for a connector.
Note: For proper grounding, a conductive wire or braid strip (not included) should be wound around the outside of wires or attached by conductive epoxy (not included) prior to shrinking.
Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown.
