    Adhesive-Back Shim Stock

Image of Product. Front orientation. Shim Stock. Adhesive-Back Shim Stock.
Stick with confidence—a durable adhesive keeps this shim stock from sliding out of place. Cut the shim stock into custom shapes to create shims that suit your needs. With thickness tolerances as fine as a strand of hair, the shims will precisely align, space, and level components on dies, presses, and machinery.
Aluminum—An alternative to stainless steel for rust resistance but less hard so it may not retain its shape. One-third the weight of steel, it's often used in robotics and automation.

    Shim Stock

Image of Product. Front orientation. Shim Stock. Sold Individually.
Cut into custom shapes to create shims that suit your needs. With thickness tolerances as fine as a strand of hair, the shims will precisely align, space, and level components on dies, presses, and machinery.
You can stack multiple shims to achieve your exact thickness, but stacking more than four may cause them to shift. Remember, fewer shims are better, so a couple of thicker shims are more stable than a bunch of thin shims.
Stress-Resistant Spring Steel—Harder and holds its shape better than carbon steel. Use it for high-stress applications, such as leveling heavy machinery. It's best for dry areas since moisture will cause it to rust.
Temper Rating—Choose half hard to create shims that you’ll need to bend or shape. Opt for full hard to make stronger shims that will maintain their shape under loads.

    Insulating Cup Washers

Image of Product. Front orientation. Insulating Washers. Insulating Cup Washers.
Cover screw heads or nuts to block electrical current and prevent short circuits. These washers isolate fasteners from sensitive surface-mounted components, such as capacitators and transistors on printed circuit boards. They also extend the life of your assembly by preventing galvanic corrosion, which is when two different metals rust more quickly due to contact with each other.
Nylon—Our most versatile insulating washers, these block unwanted current in everything from switches and circuit breakers to control panels and electric motors.

Split Lock Washers for Socket Head Screws

Image of Product. Front orientation. Lock Washers. For Socket Head Screws, Split-Lock Washer.
Stop socket head screws from loosening due to mild vibration. These washers have a small diameter to fit under screws with narrow heads, but are still thick enough to keep fasteners secure. While they're not as vibration resistant as other lock washers, they are a great fit for electrical panels, light fixtures, and other light duty assemblies. Split lock washers are not reusable, and they only work with fasteners that have right-hand threads. Also known as high-collar lock washers.
Zinc-Plated Steel—A common choice for areas with occasional exposure to moisture.
Black-Oxide Steel—Typically chosen for their appearance, these washers have a dark, matte coating that creates a finished look. They offer minimal corrosion resistance, so they're best for dry environments.
