Ring Shims
Precisely align, level, and adjust spacing on fasteners, shafts, and machinery with these shims.

Wide-Rim Ring Shims
Also known as machinery bushings, these shims have an oversized OD to create a larger bearing surface for reduced wear between moving parts. Use them to precisely align, level, and adjust spacing on shafts and machinery.
Stainless steel shims are more corrosion resistant than carbon steel shims.
316 stainless steel shims have the best corrosion resistance of our stainless steel shims.
Carbon steel shims have excellent strength and can be welded.
A zinc-plated finish adds a layer of corrosion resistance.

Shims for Keyed Shafts
Precisely shaped to fit snugly on keyed shafts, these shims align, level, and space components. Because of their tight fit, they also help components rotate in unison with the shaft.
Shims with a notch need the key inserted. They’re often referred to as arbor spacers.
Stainless steel shims are more corrosion resistant than carbon steel shims. Use them in wet environments where rust is a concern.

Peel-Away Layered Shim Stock
Cut this shim stock it into custom shapes to fit your application. Stock is made of layers of material bonded with adhesive; remove layers with a utility knife until you get the thickness you need. To make the layers easier to pull apart, gently heat the shim to soften the adhesive.
For accurate leveling, choose materials such as steel or stainless steel, which are hard enough to resist scratching and deforming. Softer shims, like copper or aluminum, can be used as wear plates between components that rub together, preventing damage to equipment.
18-8 stainless steel shim stock is more corrosion resistant than carbon steel shim stock.

Aluminum shim stock is lightweight and nonmagnetic. It has good corrosion resistance.
Brass shim stock is corrosion resistant and nonmagnetic.
Polyimide plastic shim stock is corrosion resistant, electrically insulating, and holds its shape at extreme temperatures. It's easier to peel apart than metal shim stock. Stock includes a material certificate with traceable lot number and test report.

To make the layers easier to pull apart, gently heat the shim to soften the adhesive. Shims include a material certificate with traceable lot number and test report.
Please leave at least 1/8" wall between shim edge and holes. Minimum hole size is 1/8". Shims should be no smaller than 1" × 1" square or 1" OD. Maximum shim dimension is the largest overall length, width, or diameter of your custom shim.
