These coats provide knee-length protection against dirt, wear, and abrasion in workshops and labs. All have buttons down the front and open cuffs.

Cotton is lightweight and breathable to keep you cool. It’s softer than cotton/polyester blend. Material is preshrunk, so it won't shrink when laundered.

Cotton/Polyester is more durable than cotton.

Women's coats have a belt on the back for a tailored fit.

Metal- and X-Ray-Detectable Shop Aprons

Bib

Sleeved (Front)

Keep workers clean and protected from spills and splashes on food processing lines while reducing the risk of contaminating the food. These aprons contain metal and chemical additives that will set off metal detectors and show up on X-ray machines if they—or any piece of them—fall into your line. They’re also bright blue, making them easy to spot. Use these aprons to help you comply with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs for food safety.

Made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), these aprons repel water, chemicals, and oil, including vegetable oil and animal fats. They also resist tears and abrasion, and will remain flexible in low temperatures. They can be machine washed and reused multiple times.

Sleeved aprons provide better coverage than bib aprons, so they’re often used in applications with higher risk of splashes.

Chemical-Resistant Shop Aprons

Made of flexible PVC, these aprons hold up against acids and alkalies such as sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide. They are water resistant, and have a tie in the back.

Bib aprons with reinforced straps and ties have a second layer of PVC on the neck strap and waist ties for added durability.

Bib aprons with a reinforced stomach have an extra layer of PVC sewn over the stomach for added protection.

Sleeved aprons provide better coverage than bib aprons, so they’re often used in applications with higher risk of splashes, such as food processing and transferring liquids. They have elastic cuffs, which prevent liquids from splashing into sleeves.

Made of SBR-coated polyester, these aprons repel water and other nonhazardous liquids. They have a tie in the back.

Oil-Resistant Shop Aprons

Rubber coatings keep oil, water, and other liquids from penetrating these aprons. They tie in the back.

Acrylic/Buna-N blend won’t crack in cold conditions. These aprons provide good abrasion resistance and have a soft polyester/cotton backing.

Buna-N coated cotton/polyester is durable, yet more flexible than Buna-N coated polyester. These aprons also withstand solvents.

Buna-N coated polyester is thicker than Buna-N coated cotton/polyester for added durability. In addition to resisting oil, these aprons withstand some solvents.

PVC-coated polyester withstands some exposure to diluted acids in addition to oil but is not recommended for use with chemicals. Aprons with a reinforced stomach have an extra layer of fabric over the stomach for added protection.

Neoprene-coated nylon aprons also resist fats, grease, and some solvents. With long sleeves, these aprons provide more coverage than other aprons so they're often used in transferring liquids and food processing. They have elastic cuffs to keep splashes out.
