Abrasion-Resistant Polyurethane Rubber Balls
Use these polyurethane balls as seals in pumps and check valves or let them bounce inside of vibrating sifters for an effective screen cleaner. They are made of polyurethane, which combines the shock absorbing qualities of rubber with the strength of plastic.
Balls with a steel core are heavier than standard balls, so they’re often used to offset buoyancy or to reach a specific weight.

Chemical-Resistant Viton® Fluoroelastomer Rubber Balls

- Color: Black
- Temperature Range: 0° to 400° F
- Tensile Strength: 1,500 psi
- For Use Outdoors: Yes
Resistant to harsh chemicals and high temperatures, these balls stand up in applications as extreme as aerospace fuel systems. You can use them as seals in check valves and pumps or bounce them in vibrating sifters to clean screens. Made of Viton® fluoroelastomer rubber, also known as FKM, these rubber balls resist chemicals such as nitric acid, ethylene glycol, and isopropyl alcohol. Compared to Aflas, this rubber has better resistance to solvents and petroleum-based fuels. However, it doesn't hold up as well to steam and strong acids as Aflas.

Chemical- and Steam-Resistant Aflas Rubber Balls

- Color: Black
- Temperature Range: 40° to 390° F
- Tensile Strength: 2,150 psi
- For Use Outdoors: No
Made of Aflas, these balls have similar chemical resistance to Viton® fluoroelastomer but are stronger and more steam resistant. However, they’re more likely to break down from solvents and petroleum-based fuels. They stand up to harsh chemicals such as ethylene glycol and nitric acid. These balls are often found in sterilization and water treatment processes, where they’re used as seals in pumps and check valves.
