Hold-Closed Half-Mortise Concealed Cabinet Hinges
Spring tension pulls the door closed when it’s open less than 10° and keeps it closed without a catch or latch. Also known as European hinges, only one cutout (mortise) is needed to mount these hinges. Once mounted, the hinges will be completely hidden from the outside when the door is closed. They are commonly found on washroom and kitchen cabinetry. All of these hinges have a nonremovable pin to deter tampering. Hinges with a quick-release clip allow easy door removal.
Nickel-plated zinc hinges have better corrosion resistance than nickel-plated steel.
304 stainless steel hinges are more corrosion resistant than nickel-plated zinc. They also have good chemical resistance.
Hinges for overlay doors are for doors that cover their frame.
Hinges for half overlay doors are for doors that cover half of their frame.
Hinges for inset doors are for doors that are flush with their frame when the door is closed.
For Style 1 hinges, mount the frame leaf to the inside cabinet wall and mount the door leaf into a recessed cutout (mortise) on the inside of the cabinet door.
For Style 2 hinges, mount the frame leaf to the inside edge of the cabinet frame and mount the door leaf into a recessed cutout (mortise) on the inside of the cabinet door.

Semi-Concealed Cabinet Hinges
When the cabinet door is closed, a portion of the frame leaf is exposed and the entire door leaf is hidden. All of these hinges have a nonremovable pin to deter tampering.
