Snap this chain together without links, tools, or headaches. Made of plastic, it’s lightweight, quiet-running, and resistant to mild chemicals. It also runs smoothly without lubrication. However, it handles only a fraction of the load of all-metal chain. Like the chain on a bike, the side plates have a figure-eight shape that grips sprockets to transmit power between rotating shafts without slipping.
