    Coupling Nuts

Also known as extension nuts, these are commonly used to connect lengths of threaded rod and join threaded parts.
    Low-Strength Steel
Image of Product. Front orientation. Coupling Nuts. Coupling Nuts.
Rated Grade 2 or lower, these are about half as strong as medium-strength steel coupling nuts. Use them with threaded rods that have a comparable strength rating to avoid stripping threads during installation.
Zinc-Plated Steel—A step up from plain steel, the zinc plating withstands occasional exposure to moisture.
Black-Oxide Steel—A dark, matte coating creates a finished look. Nuts offer minimal corrosion resistance, so they're best for dry environments.

Image of Attribute. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Thread Adapters. Metric-to-Metric Female Hex Thread Adapters.
Increase or decrease metric thread size from one male-threaded part to another. Commonly used to connect two differently sized threaded rods, these adapters have a hex-shaped body, so you can tighten them with a standard wrench. You can also use them to change thread pitch or convert a male-threaded connection to a female-threaded connection. Small adapters can work as threaded standoffs, positioning and separating circuit boards and other components in assemblies.
Aluminum—Aluminum adapters are about one third of the weight of steel adapters. They resist corrosion in wet environments.
18-8 Stainless Steel—18-8 stainless steel adapters resist corrosion in wet environments. However, they will corrode when exposed to salt water and other chloride solutions.
316 Stainless Steel—316 stainless steel adapters withstand wet environments and resist corrosion caused by salt water and harsh chemicals.
ASTM A276, ASTM A582, and ASTM B211—Adapters that meet ASTM specifications are made from or plated with materials that adhere to specific standards for chemical and physical properties, such as hardness.

    High-Profile Hex Nuts

Image of Product. Bottom orientation. Hex Nuts. High-Profile Hex Nuts.
Slightly taller than standard-profile hex nuts, these have a larger gripping area so your wrench or socket won't slip off as you tighten them. They're often used in vehicles and machinery where fasteners can be difficult to reach.
    Medium-Strength Steel
These Grade 5 or Class 8 nuts are your go-to for fastening most machinery and equipment. To avoid stripped threads during installation, make sure your screw has a comparable strength rating.

Adapt threaded rods from inch to metric. These adapters connect two male-threaded fasteners, so you can change the gender of a mating part or increase or decrease its thread size. The hex-shaped body fits into the head of a standard wrench. Small adapters can also be used as standoffs, positioning and separating circuit boards and other components in assemblies.
Aluminum—At about a third of the weight of steel adapters, aluminum adapters are the lightest we offer. They resist corrosion in wet environments.
18-8 Stainless Steel—18-8 stainless steel adapters resist corrosion caused by water. They're good for wet and damp environments but will corrode when exposed to salt water and other chloride solutions.
316 Stainless Steel—316 stainless steel adapters have the best corrosion resistance. They stand up to wet environments, just like 18-8 stainless steel adapters, but unlike 18-8 stainless steel adapters, they resist corrosion caused by salt water and harsh chemicals.

    Square Weld Nuts

Image of Product. Bottom orientation. Weld Nuts. Square Weld Nuts.
Image of Product. Bottom orientation. Weld Nuts. Square Weld Nuts.
With four symmetrical projections, these nuts create the strongest hold in our offering. Unlike rectangular weld nuts, each projection is equidistant from the threads, so welds wrap evenly for extra strength and twist resistance. Projections concentrate heat away from the threads to prevent them from deforming and create consistent welds. All nuts have a collar pilot that guides them into the hole, holds them in place while welding, and protects the threads from weld spatter.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust. Made of uncoated steel, these nuts require minimal prep. Weld them to uncoated steel surfaces.

These bumpers absorb impact well enough for most applications. However, they're not for use outdoors and break down when exposed to oil and harsh chemicals.
Hardness Rating—The harder the bumper, the better it withstands impact and abrasion over time. The softer the bumper, the more cushioning it provides for objects made of glass, soft metal, and other fragile materials. Bumpers with a medium rating offer a balance of impact resistance and cushioning.

Tighten just one set screw to clamp these bushings evenly around your shaft. The screw forces hydraulic fluid in between the double-walled sleeve, expanding the two walls against the shaft and the hub of your sprocket, pulley, or gear for a tight hold. Since you don’t have to tighten multiple screw clamps individually, these bushings are quick to adjust and more likely to stay aligned on your shaft. They’re also good for shock loads. A mounting flange prevents movement during tightening. Use a hex key to tighten.
Note: To avoid deforming the sleeve walls, make sure to fully tighten the screw.

With a metal base plate for added strength, these bumpers withstand repeated impacts for a longer service life than all-rubber bumpers. You can also use them as spacers and noise reducers. Twist them onto a threaded stud on your equipment, or pair them with your own stud to create a custom-length bumper.

A good choice for oily equipment that's exposed to sunlight, rain, and ozone. These aren't as oil resistant as Buna-N bumpers, but they can be used outdoors.
Hardness Rating—The harder the bumper, the better it withstands impact and abrasion over time. The softer the bumper, the more cushioning it provides for objects made of glass, soft metal, and other fragile materials. Bumpers with a medium rating offer a balance of impact resistance and cushioning.

    Weld Locknuts

Prevent screws from backing out under heavy vibration. These nuts have distorted threads that grip screws tightly. Three evenly spaced projections concentrate heat away from the threads to prevent them from deforming and create consistent welds. These nuts also have a collar pilot that guides the nut into the hole, holds it in place while welding, and protects the threads from weld spatter.
Use Grade 2 or Class 6 screws to avoid stripping threads during installation. Distorted threads require high torque for fastening and unfastening, so you may need an impact wrench to remove screws.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust. Made of uncoated steel, these nuts require minimal prep. Weld them to uncoated steel surfaces.

Add permanent threads to thin metal with our go-to weld nuts. Unlike press-fit and rivet nuts, these nuts fuse to the base metal, so they won’t twist and pull out. Three evenly spaced projections concentrate heat away from the threads to prevent them from deforming and create consistent welds. All have a collar pilot that guides the nut into the hole, holds it in place while welding, and protects the threads from weld spatter. You can also install them on thick pieces of metal.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust. Made of uncoated steel, these nuts require minimal prep. Weld them to uncoated steel surfaces.
18-8 Stainless Steel—Suitable for outdoor use, these nuts resist rust from water and mild chemicals. Weld them to stainless steel surfaces.
