Manual Transfer Switches
If there’s a power outage, flip the toggle for each circuit on these switches to backup power. Each circuit can also be turned off completely. To prevent injury and damage to your generators, they are open transition, meaning the contacts disconnect from one power source before connecting to another. This is also known as break-before-make switching.
Use them with a portable generator.
NEMA 1 switches should be used indoors. Those with a power inlet box create a connection point between the switch and a portable generator. The inlet box is rated NEMA 3R, so it can be mounted on the outside of an exterior wall.
NEMA 3R switches can be used outdoors since they seal out rain, snow, and sleet.
Switches with a key lock prevent unauthorized changes to the switch.

Panel-Mount Humidity Controllers
The sensor monitors relative humidity and triggers the controller to turn equipment on or off. Sensor and controller are sold separately.
Controller is SPDT (single pole, double throw). It can be set to turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed). Set the actuation point with the keypad.

Enclosure Humidistats
Reduce the humidity in your enclosure to prevent condensation that can cause corrosion and short circuits. These humidistats switch your heater on when the enclosure reaches the relative humidity setting. Once the humidity falls by 5%, the heater switches off. To install, clip humidistats to a DIN rail.
Nonadjustable humidistats work for most applications. They keep humidity below 65%, which is when condensation is most likely to form. Since they aren’t adjustable, the humidity setting can’t be tampered with or accidentally changed. For critical components, use adjustable humidistats to set the relative humidity you need in your enclosure. Use a lower humidity setting in damp environments and places with frequent temperature changes. Condensation is more likely in these situations.
CSA Certified, CSA-US Certified, CE Marked, and VDE Certified, these humidistats meet American, Canadian, and European safety standards. They also meet UL 94 V-0, so if they catch fire, they self-extinguish within 10 seconds and won’t spread the fire by dripping.

Washdown Autotuning Temperature Controllers
The faceplate is sealed to meet NEMA 4X and IP66 for protection in washdown environments with splashing water, corrosive liquid, and dust. The rear case meets IP20. These controllers have proportional-integral-derivative (PID) software with fuzzy logic that learns system behavior and automatically compensates for changes to achieve high accuracy in applications with fluctuating conditions. They read temperature with a highly sensitive thermocouple probe (sold separately) in critical process applications to turn heating equipment on or off at a specified temperature. All fit into instrument panels with DIN cutouts. Set actuation points with the keypad. Controllers with automatic/manual reset give you the choice to have machines turn back on either when the temperature drops or you reset their switch.
Controllers with 1/16 DIN trade size have one alarm relay.
Controllers with 1/8 and 1/4 DIN trade size have two alarm relays.
Mechanical relays actuate one circuit directly. SPDT (Single pole, double throw) relays can be set to turn the circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed).

Often used in hazardous locations, such as chemical plants, refineries, and grain elevators, these switches have a housing that’s UL listed for environments with flammable gases, combustible dust, and ignitable fibers. It is UL listed for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C, and D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. The housing also meets NEMA 4X for use in washdown environments with splashing water, corrosive liquid, and dust. Hazardous Location Surface-Mount Temperature Switches
Safe for use in chemical plants, refineries, and other hazardous locations, these switches maintain your surface’s temperature by turning equipment on or off when they reach a set temperature. They’re FM approved for use where flammable gases may be present. These switches actuate when the temperature rises to the setpoint and reset when the temperature falls below the reset point. Since they're SPDT (single pole, double throw) switches, they control one circuit and can either be wired to turn one device from on to off (normally closed) or from off to on (normally open). Wire them normally closed to power a heater—when the temperature rises to the setpoint, the heater will turn off until the temperature falls below the reset point. Or wire them normally open to turn on alarms or other devices when the temperature rises above the setpoint. Their setpoint isn’t adjustable, so they’re easy to set up and there’s no risk of unintentional changes.

Airflow-Actuated HVAC Switches

Remote Room-Monitoring Adjustable Thermostats
If ambient air temperature rises above or falls below an actuation point, this thermostat flashes the current temperature reading on the display and shows a “high” or “low” message. To actuate remote-mount buzzers (not included), it has two SPDT (single pole, double throw) relays that can each be set to turn one circuit from “off” to “on” (normally open) or from “on” to “off” (normally closed). Switch has a built-in ambient temperature sensor.
12-volt DC power supply (not included) is required.
Remote temperature sensors (not included) let you monitor temperature up to 1,000 feet from the switch. Remote sensors can be used simultaneously with the switch’s built-in ambient temperature sensor for monitoring two areas.

Enclosure Thermostats for Multiple Devices
Keep electronics in your enclosure from getting too hot or cold with these thermostats that control two devices at once. Clip them to a DIN rail to install.
Adjustable thermostats allow you to set custom temperatures.
Heating and cooling thermostats control heaters and fans or air conditioners. Thermostats with one actuation point, also known as changeover thermostats, switch between heating and cooling so one device is always running. When the temperature in your enclosure gets hotter than the temperature you set, the thermostat will turn on your fan or air conditioner. It goes back to heating once the temperature is reduced by the temperature difference. So for a thermostat with a temperature difference of 9° F, setting it at 60° F means it will heat the enclosure until it reaches 60° F, switch to cooling until it reaches 51° F, and then switch back to heating.
All thermostats meet IP20, which means they’re designed so fingers can’t fit inside and get shocked. They also meet UL 94 V-0, so they self-extinguish within 10 seconds if they catch on fire and won’t spread the fire by dripping. Thermostats that are CE marked or VDE certified meet European safety standards. UL Recognized Component and C-UL Recognized Component thermostats also meet American and Canadian safety standards.
