Ball-Grip Positioning Arms

Ball-and-socket connections allow 360° positioning. Choose a complete arm or select a base, connectors, and accessories to build your own.
To ensure compatibility, select components that have the same ball diameter. Use reducing connectors (sold separately) to pair components with a 1 1/2" ball diameter to those with a 1" ball diameter.

Rotating and rotating/tilting complete arms have handles to lock joints into position. Rotating/tilting complete arms mount to a bench or a wall. Secure the object you want to position to the attaching end plate.
Any-which-way complete arms bend and stay in position. They do not have a ball; affix a screw-on base (sold separately) to attach to a connector.

Screw-on bases have a universal AMPS (Attachment Mounting Pattern Standard) mounting hole pattern.
Round bases attach to components with four AMPS mounting holes. Round bases with seven mounting holes have an additional three-hole mounting pattern with a 1.8” bolt circle diameter.

Swivel connectors have two halves that pivot independently so you can lock one joint while positioning the other.

Hand-held device grips adjust for a secure hold.
Styles E and F have spring-loaded fingers that you can adjust to fit devices of different sizes. Rubber caps on the fingers create a tight grip on your smartphone or tablet.
Styles G and H do not have a ball; affix a screw-on base (sold separately) to attach to a connector. Maximum load capacity is based on the screw-on base you choose.
Style G have a spring-loaded top bracket that expands, so you can insert your tablet. For a secure hold, the bracket clamps down on your device. They have a keyed lock to prevent your tablet from being removed once it’s in the holder.

Monitor mounts have a VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) standard mounting hole pattern, so they will match most monitors. They fit in tight spaces because they mount directly to T-slotted rails. Friction monitor mounts stay in place if bumped, but they require you to move the entire weight of the monitor.

T-Slotted Framing Positioning Arms




Make your T-slotted framing workstation more ergonomic. These positioning arms let you move tools and other items within reach, reducing fatigue and streamlining repetitive processes.
Extended positioning arms lock into position when you tighten the screws in the joints. Those with a cable-routing hole are hollow, so you can route cables through them.
Ball-grip positioning arms have ball-and-socket connections, so the entire arm moves 360°. Secure items using the mounting plate.
Arms with AMPS mounting hole pattern are often used on GPS units, cameras, and other small electronics.

Hang your human-machine interface and swivel it around to save floor space and comfortably access touch screens, buttons, and other operating equipment. These suspension arms have already-drilled mounting holes that match our HMI enclosures. Route wire from your HMI components to a machine through a hole that runs through the entire arm. To prevent them from swinging too far and hitting people and equipment, locking pins let you restrict how far these arms rotate. Brakes lock their position into place.
Customize a system for your application—you can create hundreds of different variations. A complete suspension arm requires at least a base, a tube, and a mount. Add components to extend your arm up to 80” from the base and expand its range of motion. Arms without a connector support up to 180 lbs. Those with a connector support up to 135 lbs., but the load it can hold decreases by 2 lbs. for every 1” over 40” from the base.
Bases mount your arm to a surface. Wall bases mount to a wall, the side of a machine, or another vertical surface. Bench-top bases mount to horizontal surfaces, such as the top of a machine.
Tubes extend your arm’s reach.
Connectors join tubes. Those that rotate create a joint that swivels.
Mounts connect your arm to an enclosure.
Adapters tilt your enclosure for an improved view of and access to your HMI components.

Tablet Positioning Arms
Position your tablet within view while keeping your hands free to work. These arms mount to a variety of surfaces while keeping a secure grip on your tablet.
Clamp-on bench-mount arms attach to the edge of a workbench or tabletop. They have two pivot points that rotate 360°. The joint behind the tablet holder allows you to rotate the screen and tilt it for a better viewing angle. No need to lock them in place—the pivot points stay in position on their own.
Bar-, pipe-, magnetic-, suction-, and threaded-stud-mount arms have ball-and-socket joints that give them a 360° range of motion. Tilt or rotate them for a better viewing angle and lock the joints in place.
Clamp-on rectangular bar-mount arms have a base that fits around rectangular parts, such as square posts, t-slotted framing, and shelving units.
Clamp-on pipe-mount arms attach to round bars, pipes, and railings using adjustable jaws. They’re commonly used to mount screens to cart handles.
Magnetic-mount arms cling to magnetic surfaces and have a strong enough hold to be mounted from any orientation, such as on the side of a machine. They’re good for creating a temporary display because they’re easy to move from place to place.
Suction-mount arms are ideal for mounting tablets onto flat surfaces and windows, such as the windshield of your vehicle. Laptop Positioning Arms

Set up your laptop where you normally couldn't, such as on a cart handle or vehicle. These arms attach to surfaces to create a secure mounting point for your laptop. Their base is adjustable to fit a variety of laptop sizes.
Clamp-on pipe mount arms attach to round bars, pipes, and railings with two adjustable U-bolts. They have two ball-and-socket joints—one below the laptop holder and one above the base. Each joint rotates 360°, so you can move these arms in any direction and lock them in place.
