These phones are rated NEMA 3R for protection against falling liquids and light splashing. They have a sealed keypad to keep out dirt and moisture and are made from glass-filled polyester plastic to withstand corrosion and extreme temperatures.

Optional text telephone adapters make it easier for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired to use these phones to communicate, by letting them send and receive typed messages. They’re also known as TTY, TDD, and teletypewriters.

Stainless Steel Cord—Stainless steel cords are armored and have three times the pull strength of polyester plastic cords to deter vandalism.
