    Threaded Rods

Anchor, connect, or hang components in a wide variety of applications, from mounting I-beams to suspending light fixtures.
    Medium-Strength Steel
Image of Product. Front orientation. Threaded Rods. Threaded Rods.
With tensile strengths from 110,000 psi to 125,000 psi, these rods are strong enough for most industrial applications, such as anchoring machinery and connecting pipe flanges. They are about twice as strong as low-strength steel rods. To avoid stripped threads during installation, make sure your nuts are also medium-strength steel.
Zinc-Yellow-Chromate-Plated Steel—The most common choice for areas with occasional exposure to moisture.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause these rods to rust.

    High-Strength Steel
Image of Product. Front orientation. Threaded Rods. Threaded Rods.
With a tensile strength of 150,000 psi, these rods are strong enough to stabilize steel frameworks and structural supports, such as I-beams. They are about 25% stronger than medium-strength steel rods. To avoid stripped threads during installation, make sure your nuts are also high-strength steel.
Zinc-Yellow-Chromate-Plated Steel—The most common choice for areas with occasional exposure to moisture.
Black-Oxide Steel—Typically chosen for their appearance, these rods have a dark, matte coating that creates a finished look. They offer minimal corrosion resistance, so they're best for dry environments.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause these rods to rust.

    Low-Strength Steel
Image of Product. Front orientation. Threaded Rods. Threaded Rods.
With a tensile strength of 50,000 psi or 60,000 psi, these rods are often used to suspend light fixtures, cable trays, and conduit from ceilings. They're about half the strength of medium-strength steel rods. To avoid stripped threads during installation, make sure your nuts are also low-strength steel.
Zinc-Plated Steel—The most common choice for areas with occasional exposure to moisture.

Precision Acme Lead Screws and Nuts

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Contains Inset. Precision Lead Screws and Nuts. Precision Acme Lead Screws and Nuts.
Pair with a motor in automated motion and positioning applications. A tight thread fit allows these lead screws and nuts to make accurate, repeatable starts and stops. Also known as single-start and self-locking lead screws and nuts, they have a single thread that runs the length of the screw. The nut travels only when the screw turns, so your system won’t unexpectedly move when the lead screw is at rest. To ensure compatibility, please select components that have the same thread direction, thread size, and number of thread starts.
    Externally Threaded Nuts—Right-Hand Thread
Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Precision Lead Screws and Nuts. Precision Acme Lead Screws and Nuts, Externally Threaded Nuts—Right-Hand Thread.
Combine externally threaded nuts with a flange to create a custom flange nut.
360 Brass—360 brass nuts have excellent machinability and good corrosion resistance.
673 Bronze—932 bearing bronze and 673 bronze nuts are wear resistant. They have good machinability and fair corrosion resistance.
Acetal—Acetal nuts have good wear and corrosion resistance.
PEEK—PEEK plastic nuts handle twice as much heat as PET and acetal plastic nuts. They have good chemical resistance and excellent corrosion resistance.
Travel Distance per Turn—Travel distance per turn, also known as screw lead, is the distance a nut moves with one revolution of the lead screw.

Internal ball bearings provide smooth low-friction travel in applications that require high speeds, accurate positioning, and repeatable movement. Also known as single-start ball screws and nuts, they have a single thread that runs the length of the screw. They operate with more torque than fast-travel ball screws and nuts. To ensure compatibility, select components that have the same thread direction and size. Ball nuts are furnished with a tube to keep ball bearings in place. Do not remove the tube until you are ready to install the nuts onto the screws.

Ball screws with one machined end fit into an end support and are ready to connect to a motor. To adjust the length, the non-machined end can be cut to size.
Travel Distance per Turn—Travel distance per turn, also known as screw lead, is the distance a ball nut moves with one revolution of the ball screw.

    Left-Hand Threaded Rods

Turn these rods to the left to tighten. Use them with left-hand nuts to prevent counterclockwise-moving parts from loosening.
    Medium-Strength Steel
Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Threaded Rods. Left-Hand Threaded Rods.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause these rods to rust.

Multiple thread channels (also known as thread starts) create faster linear travel than lead screws with a single thread start. The threads have a tight thread fit for accurate, repeatable starts and stops. Pair with a motor in automated motion and positioning applications. To ensure compatibility, please select components that have the same thread direction, thread size, and number of thread starts.

Metric Precision Lead Screws and Nuts

Pair with a motor in automated motion and positioning applications. A tight thread fit allows these lead screws and nuts to make accurate, repeatable starts and stops. Also known as single-start and self-locking lead screws and nuts, they have a single thread that runs the length of the screw. The nut travels only when the screw turns, so your system won’t unexpectedly move when the lead screw is at rest. To ensure compatibility, select components that have the same thread direction, size, and number of thread starts.

Suitable for use in harsh environments, these ball screws and nuts are made of stainless steel. Internal ball bearings provide smooth low-friction travel in applications that require high speeds, accurate positioning, and repeatable movement. Also known as single-start ball screws and nuts, they have a single thread that runs the length of the screw. They operate with more torque than fast-travel ball screws and nuts. To ensure compatibility, select components that have the same thread size. Ball nuts are furnished with a tube to keep ball bearings in place. Do not remove the tube until you are ready to install the nuts onto the screws.

Multiple thread channels (also known as thread starts) create faster linear travel than ball screws with a single thread start. Internal ball bearings provide smooth low-friction travel in applications that require high speeds, accurate positioning, and repeatable movement. To ensure compatibility, select components that have the same thread size and number of thread starts. Ball nuts are furnished with a tube to keep ball bearings in place.
