Digital Torque-Measuring Screwdrivers

A green light and a beep alert you when you've reached 90% of your set torque, and a steady tone sounds once you've hit your target. Set your torque in cNm, cm-Kg, or in.-lbs. and quickly check the LCD for real-time measurements along the way. A red light warns if you begin to overtighten. In addition to applying the correct torque to a fastener, these screwdrivers can help determine fastener torque specifications and identify the torque required to loosen tightened fasteners. They store up to nine torque settings to save time when working on multiple fasteners. They're compatible with any bit that has a _1/4" hex shank. All require one AAA battery (included). To save battery power, the display turns off after five minutes of idle time. You can also turn the display off manually.

Accurate to within 2% of the set torque in the clockwise direction, and 3% in the counterclockwise direction, these screwdrivers are more precise than standard torque screwdrivers. All screwdrivers come with a calibration certificate from the manufacturer.

Data-Recording Torque Gauges

High-Accuracy Torque Tool Gauges

Accurate to within ±1%, these torque gauges are often used to check the accuracy of torque wrenches and screwdrivers on assembly lines. They come with a calibration certificate traceable to NIST that states they’ve passed a test for accuracy. To test, place your torque wrench or screwdriver onto the gauge with the included square drive connection and turn. These gauges display torque as it's measured and the maximum torque reached. For accuracy when testing click-style wrenches, they also show the first torque peak reached. They’re not for use with impact or pulse tools.

Portable with Touch-Screen Display

Portable gauges are lightweight and easy to move around your facility. Their touch-screen display makes it easier to navigate through different menus than gauges with a digital-screen display. To view data in a CSV file, pop out the gauge's SD card and plug it into your computer. You can also transfer data by connecting the gauge directly to your computer with the USB cord. To use these gauges with nonimpact power tools, they include at least one socket screw adapter. These gauges meet ISO 17025, so they’ve been checked in a laboratory that was evaluated for accuracy.

Chuck-Style Digital Torque Tool Gauges

Measure the torque output of torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and other hand tools to ensure they deliver the right amount of torque—and check your results on a digital screen. Cycle through four units of measure on the screen, then set it to display real-time or maximum torque. These gauges have a keyless chuck that's similar to a standard drill chuck: insert the tool you're measuring and tighten the chuck by hand. They can also be used to measure the torque consistency of small rotating parts, such as motors, potentiometers, and encoders.

The gauge's memory keeps track of up to 999 different measurements.

For handheld use, the display fits inside the back of the gauge. To use the gauge on a flat surface, remove the display from the back of the gauge.

Note: For the most accurate performance, the maximum torque you apply should fall near the middle of the gauge's torque range.

AC Adapter—To use the tester on external power, add an AC adapter and attach it with the USB cable (sold separately with the software).

USB Cable and Software Download Link—Use the USB cable and software download link to transmit, store, and analyze test data on a computer. The software stores time, date, and torque measurement values that you can import into Microsoft Excel.

Testing Fixture—For large and oddly shaped items, use a testing fixture. Testing fixtures fit inside the tester's chuck and have four clamping pins that allow you to hold objects as wide as 2 1/4".

Testing Stand—For additional stability, mount the gauge onto a testing stand (sold separately). Testing stands have four pins that fit inside the gauge to anchor it, a handle for leverage, and mounting holes for permanently securing the stand.

Static-Control Torque Screwdrivers

Also known as ESD-safe screwdrivers, the grip drains static away from your application, preventing buildup from electrostatic discharge (ESD) that can damage sensitive equipment. Turn the collar to adjust torque. When set torque is reached, these drivers slip to disengage and stop turning the fastener, preventing overtightening. They come with a calibration certificate that is traceable to NIST and states the product has passed a test for accuracy. Drivers have a contoured ultra-grip handle that provides comfort and the best possible grip for achieving maximum torque. Rotary Torque Gauges

Monitor torque as you apply it—these gauges mount between your torque tool and your fastener. Engage the fastener to track both torque and the angle of rotation for each crank of your tool (snug torque) before you've reached the final torque. This gives you a better idea if fasteners are consistently tightened than measuring torque alone. These gauges are often used with nutrunners and click-style torque wrenches in the automotive and aerospace industries. Store up to 999 maximum torque (peak) and rotation values, including the date and time of each test, or transfer to your computer to view in an Excel file. CE marked, they meet European safety standards.

Clean Room Factory-Set Torque Screwdrivers

Rated for ISO Class 5 (Fed. Std. Class 100) clean rooms, these tools have a sealed handle to keep lubrication in and contaminants out. They are factory set to reach the same torque every time. Drivers slip to disengage and stop turning the fastener when the set torque is reached, preventing overtightening. The torque setting cannot be adjusted. Torque Tool Gauges for Torque Screwdrivers

LED Display

Measure the force of hand and non-impact electric torque screwdrivers to keep fasteners from failing due to under or overtightening. A chuck-like adapter simulates your fastener joint during testing. These gauges record the first time you reach the maximum torque (peak down), the maximum torque (peak), and torque as it's measured (real-time). For the most accurate performance, the maximum torque you're applying should fall near the middle of the gauge's torque range. A track mode lets you monitor fluctuating torque. For quick pass/fail testing, these gauges have programmable high/low set points with lights and an alarm. They include a calibration certificate with test data traceable to NIST that states they have passed tests for accuracy.

Changeable-Head Torque Wrenches

Change heads to use these tools as an open-end, box, square drive, or hex-key wrench. The handle and head combination you choose may have different maximum torque values. Do not exceed the lower value. The handles come with a calibration certificate, which includes test measurements that confirm accuracy.

You can tighten fasteners that require less torque than the values listed, but the accuracy ratings apply only within the specified range.
