Safely climb on and off flatbed trailers. Choose a ladder tall enough to reach your flatbed—standard platforms are about 50" from the ground; drop decks are about 36". Quick to install and remove, these ladders hook onto the rub rail of most flatbeds. They’re made of aluminum, so they’re lightweight and corrosion resistant.

Style 1 must be in contact with the ground during use. These ladders have ribbed steps for good slip resistance. Keep them installed while driving—just swing them upright and secure them with the included brackets.

Styles 2 and 3 don’t need to touch the ground to support your climbing. This is useful when working on uneven surfaces. They should be removed and stored before driving. The steps are either perforated or serrated—they have openings so liquids can drain and debris can fall through.
