Offering a low-friction surface that prevents sticking and binding, these rods and discs are often machined into bushings and bearings. UHMW is impact and wear resistant to handle the scuffs, scrapes, and strikes that other plastic can’t.

Plastic Washers

All of these washers are lightweight, nonconductive, and naturally rust resistant. They are commonly used in electronics and automation applications to take the pressure off screws and nuts and protect mounting surfaces.

Low-Friction Impact-Resistant UHMW Polyethylene—The slippery surface reduces friction between the washer, fastener, and mounting surface to prevent sticking when fastening and loosening. These washers also resist bumps and vibration without cracking or denting.

Extra-High-Strength UHMW Polyethylene Rods

Often used in high-speed, high-precision, and high-impact applications, such as conveyor rollers and bearings, these rods stand up to scratches and scuffs better than our standard UHMW polyethylene rods. A built-in dry lubricant makes these rods self-lubricating and extra slippery, so they're smooth and quiet. They also withstand high temperatures and chemicals, so frequent washdowns with harsh cleaners and sanitizers won't affect them. Regularly used in food-processing and pharmaceutical plants, these rods are FDA compliant for direct contact with food. Also known as Tivar HPV.

Blue—Blue material can be easily spotted for removal if a piece falls into a batch in food or pharmaceutical plants.
