Tools with a plier nose are useful for pulling and looping wire.

Tools with a voltage detector safely test for AC voltage without contacting live wires. Light and sound indicators alert you when over 50 volts AC is detected. The detector is attached to the tool’s handle; remove it from the handle to use it on its own.

Stainless Steel—Stainless steel tools are good for less frequent use. Their stripping blades dull more quickly than steel tools, but they resist corrosion and won't rust as quickly when stored.
