The most common wire rope for hanging fixtures, tethering equipment, and constructing barriers. It balances flexibility and abrasion resistance —you can bend it if needed, but it has fewer wires that could break over time, so it lasts longer.
Warning: Not for overhead lifting.
18-8 Stainless Steel—With solid stainless steel construction, this wire rope has no plating that could wear away. It resists rust, but it won't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel can.
Wire Rope Construction—Strand cores are more crush and impact-resistant than hollow cores. However, you can run electrical wiring or fluid conduit through hollow core ropes.
Preformed—With each wire shaped into a spiral before being twisted onto the rope, they maintain their shape when cut. This keeps them from unraveling or poking equipment and users.

Create a loop without speciality tools. To install, feed wire rope through the clamp in one direction, form a loop, and feed the rope back through in the opposite direction. Once installed, the loop can be easily adjusted and secured. Also known as Gripple rope clamps. They are for use in noncritical applications, such as fencing.
Warning: Test all assemblies for required strength before use. Do not use with coated rope unless the coating is removed.

Use in noncritical applications, such as fencing, where the strength of a forged clamp is not required. Install clamps so the saddle is on the long (live) end and the U-bolt is on the short (dead) end. They’re also known as wire rope clips.
