Wire with Polyethylene Outer Insulation: -40° to 190° F
Install this wire in conduit and cable trays in commercial and industrial buildings. It's also known as branch circuit wire.
Stranded wire is flexible, so it’s pliable enough to be pulled around corners. Wire with a polyethylene outer insulation resists abrasion and chemicals. It’s more flexible than nylon insulated wire.
XHHW-2 wire is for dry and wet locations where wire may be exposed to dripping or splashing liquid. Flame rated VW-1 wire meets requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test with vertically suspended material.
