Chemical-Resistant Wire

- Use for panel and equipment (hook-up)
- Flexible
- Temperature Range: -65° to 390° F
- Insulation: PTFE Plastic
Our most chemical-resistant wire—the PTFE insulation protects against most chemicals, solvents, and oil. The PTFE is slippery, so it withstands some abrasion. The wire has a silver-plated finish for corrosion resistance and strength. It’s flame rated VW-1 to meet requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test with vertically suspended material. Rated MIL-W-16878/4-Type E, it meets stringent military specifications for material quality. Also known as hook-up wire.

Radiation-Resistant Wire

- Use for panel and equipment (hook-up)
- Stranded Wire: Flexible
Solid Wire: Bend and Stay - Temperature Range: -140° to 500° F
- Insulation: PEEK Plastic
The PEEK insulation on this wire won't degrade when exposed to radiation, and is often used in nuclear energy production. The insulation also resists harsh chemicals and high pressure, so it can also be used in equipment for mining or oil and gas exploration. It meets UL 94 V-0 for flame retardance.
Stranded wire is flexible, so it’s pliable enough to be pulled around corners. Silver-plated wire is stronger and more corrosion resistant than bare wire.

Low-Voltage High-Temperature Wire

- Use for ovens and furnaces, panel and equipment (hook-up)
- Wire with FEP Plastic Insulation: Flexible
Wire with Silicone Rubber Insulation: Ultra Flexible - Temperature Range:
Wire with FEP Plastic Insulation: -239° to 390° F
Wire with Silicone Rubber Insulation: -100° to 400° F
Rated to 50 volts AC/DC, this wire is often used in small electronics and robotics. It’s also known as hook-up wire.
Wire with FEP insulation is chemical resistant.
Silver-plated wire is stronger and more corrosion resistant than bare wire.
Wire Wrap

- Use for circuit boards
- Bend and Stay
- Maximum Temperature:
PVDF: 200° F
ETFE: 300° F
This wire wraps around a post terminal on a circuit board to make an electrical connection, eliminating the need for soldering. It stays in the shape you bend it for a tight wrap around the post. A silver-plated finish provides corrosion resistance and strength.
PVDF wire is also known as Kynar wire.
ETFE wire has strong resistance to harsh and high-pH chemicals, such as cleaning fluids and fuels. It’s also known as Tefzel wire.
Use a wire wrap tool (sold separately) to make a tighter connection than wrapping by hand. The tool also unwinds wire from the post.
