Style A | Style B |
Make precise cuts in a variety of materials by pushing your workpiece through the vertical blade. Unlike horizontal band saws, these saws can make curved and intricate cuts. They can also make straight cuts when you use a fence to guide your material.
Style A—Style A saws are a good choice if you’re only cutting wood and plastic.
Style B—Style B saws are more versatile than Style A saws because they cut through metal in addition to wood and plastic. They have a chip collection system that blows debris away from your cut line and into a chip chute. Hook up your dust collector to the chip collection port to suck away the debris.

Powered by air, these saws maintain their speed better than electric and battery-powered saws while cutting through tough workpieces. Electric Portable Band Saws

All you need is an outlet to get these band saws moving. Use them to make straight or curved cuts in metal and other materials. They are smaller and more mobile than stationary band saws. With speed control, you can adjust the speed based on the hardness of your material. Set the dial to your desired speed, then make small tweaks using the trigger—the harder you squeeze it, the faster the blade will move. The LED light helps you see where you’re cutting. When it’s time to switch out the blade, you won’t need any tools.

The more you squeeze their trigger, the faster the blade moves. Slow down the blade for hard materials and speed it up for soft materials. No tools are necessary to switch out the blade.
