Steel Phillips Flat Head Screws for Wood

These steel screws are zinc plated to resist corrosion in wet environments. All are beveled under the head for use in countersunk holes. They press threads into material for a tight, secure hold. To prevent splitting, drill a pilot hole slightly smaller than the screw. Length is measured from the top of the head.

Steel Flanged Hex Head Screws for Wood

These steel screws are hot-dipped galvanized to resist corrosion in wet environments and are a good choice for ACQ-treated (arsenic-free) lumber. The flange reduces the risk of crushing material and the hex head provides a secure grip with a wrench. They press threads into material for a tight, secure hold. To prevent splitting, drill a pilot hole slightly smaller than the screw. Head height includes the flange. Length is measured from under the head.

18-8 Stainless Steel Thread-Cutting Small-Head
Screws for Softwood and Plastic-Wood Composites

18-8 stainless steel screws have good chemical resistance and are a good choice for ACQ-treated (arsenic-free) lumber. Also known as trim-head deck screws, they have a small flat head and slender shank to reduce the risk of splitting. The Type 17 auger point and narrow body penetrate softwood and plastic-wood composite decking material. They cut threads into drilled holes as they’re turned, so they require less driving torque and cause less stress on material than thread-forming screws. Screws may be mildly magnetic. Length is measured from the top of the head.

Wood Screw-Style Hangers

Drive these hangers into wood with an adjustable wrench, pliers, or a special driver bit (sold separately). They’re also known as eye lags.
Zinc- and zinc yellow-chromate plated steel hangers are corrosion resistant in wet environments. The zinc yellow-chromate plated steel hangers meet quality standards outlined in ASTM B633 and dimensional standards outlined in ASME B18.2.1.

Stainless Steel Wood Screw Threaded Studs

18-8 stainless steel studs have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. Also known as hanger bolts, use them to hang, mount, and fasten parts to wood structures. Install with a stud driver or create wrench flats by threading two nuts onto the stud and jamming them together.
