Offering outstanding resistance to surface wear and corrosion, Nitronic 60 stainless steel is often used for shafts, fasteners, and valves. It's alloyed with silicon and manganese to prevent the surface from sticking to other metals and tearing, known as galling and cold welding. Maximum temperature for corrosion resistance is not rated.
