Hard Anodize—Our most durable anodized coating, with a surface so hard it rivals case-hardened steel. However, it makes this aluminum more difficult to machine than uncoated aluminum.

Ultra-Weldable Marine-Grade 5052 Aluminum Bars

The easiest marine-grade aluminum alloy to weld, 5052 is made into everything from boat hulls to aircraft fuel lines. You don’t need to preheat the metal or perform a test weld to create joints. Even when submerged for long periods of time, it won’t weaken in salt water. It even stays strong at cryogenic temperatures, so it’s commonly made into piping for liquid nitrogen.
