Choose cast iron anvils for occasional use.
Forged carbon steel anvils have better strength and rebound than cast iron, so they are less likely to chip or deform.

Remove pins from workpieces by positioning the pins over the holes in these hardened steel blocks and tapping them out using a punch and hammer. Each block has a range of hole sizes to accommodate different pin diameters. The V-groove in the middle of the block allows for pin removal in the same way from round and angled workpieces. These blocks can be used as a drill guide or as an anvil for bending or forming small parts. Also known as bench blocks.
