Rated to ASTM D120 standards for handling live electrical equipment, these gloves come tested and marked with the test date. You have one year from the test date to put gloves into service before they must be retested. Once in use, gloves should be tested every six months. To comply with ASTM safety standards, protectors (sold separately) must be worn over gloves when working with live electrical equipment.
ASTM defines voltage classes for rubber insulating gloves. Make sure the gloves you use are rated for the voltage class of your equipment.
Wear Indicator—Wear-indicating gloves have a colored inner layer that shows through the coating as it wears off, making it easy to inspect them for signs of damage.

Wear these protectors over electrical-protection gloves to meet ASTM standards when working with live electrical equipment. They also protect your gloves from scrapes and tears.
Choose protectors that are the same size as the gloves they will be worn over. To comply with ASTM standards, the cuff of the glove should extend past the end of the protector. For Class 00 and Class 0 ratings, the gloves must be at least 1/2" longer than the protector. For all other classes, the number of inches that the glove extends past the protector should match the class number. For example, Class 1 gloves should be 1" longer than their protector.
ANSI/ISEA 105—Protectors meet ANSI/ISEA 105 for resistance to cuts or punctures. Higher cut or puncture ratings mean more protection.
NFPA 70E—Protectors meet NFPA 70E for arc-flash protection.
Arc Rating—All have an arc rating, which measures a protector’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns. The higher the rating, the greater the flame resistance.

Often used for maintaining low-voltage electrical equipment, these gloves protect you from arc flashes and sharp edges. They meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for cut, abrasion, puncture, or heat resistance. They’re also tested to meet either NFPA 70E or ASTM F2675 standards for arc-flash protection. All have an arc rating, which measures their ability to insulate the wearer from burns. The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Made with Aramid fabric, these gloves resist radiant heat and flames.
They also have an ANSI cut rating, which reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade.
A4—Gloves with an A4 rating can be worn when working with sharp-edged materials such as sheet metal and glass.
A5—A5-rated gloves can be used for cutting with blades or handling sharp wire.
A7—Wear A7-rated gloves to protect against knife points and the sharp edges of metal stamps and presses.
ANSI/ISEA 138—Gloves that meet ANSI/ISEA 138 are rated for impact resistance.
EN 388—Gloves that meet EN 388 adhere to European standards for resistance to abrasions, cuts, tears, punctures, or impacts.
EN 407—Those that meet EN 407 comply with European standards for resistance to heat and flames.

Designed with the hazards of utility maintenance and oil and gas rigs in mind, these gloves can handle your tough conditions. They protect your hands from extremely hot equipment, sharp objects, and arc flashes. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace. The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance.
These gloves also meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for various forms of protection, such as resistance to cuts, abrasions, punctures, and heat. A higher rating means better protection. All have an ANSI cut rating, which reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade.

    Flame-Resistant Work Gloves

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Gloves. Flame-Resistant Work Gloves.
Originally designed for use when repairing gas leaks, these gloves won’t drip, melt, or ignite when exposed to flames or sparks. Layers of Nomex and Kevlar, plus a treated synthetic leather palm, keep your hands safe from flames, arc flashes, heat, and even cuts. In fact, they meet personal protection equipment (PPE) Category 3 and NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes. The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace. They also meet the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard for cut and puncture resistance.

    Heavy Duty Arc-Flash-Protection Gloves

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Gloves. Heavy Duty Arc-Flash-Protection Gloves.
For jobs where arc-flash hazards meet tough hands-on work—these gloves offer our toughest protection. They shield your hands from heat and flames during arc events and protect against sharp tools, so you don’t need to change gloves to switch between tasks. They're often used for heavy machine operation and maintenance.
All have an arc rating, which measures their ability to protect against burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace. These gloves meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for resistance to cuts, abrasions, punctures, and heat. They also meet ANSI/ISEA 138 standards for impact resistance.
