Opaque Tubing

An internal reinforcement gives this tubing the strength to withstand higher pressures than other soft tubing for food, beverage, and dairy. This hose meets NSF/ANSI food safety standards. Tubing doesn’t contain plasticizers like DEHP, so it won’t impart tastes or odors to the fluid passing through it.

Silicone rubber tubing can handle the highest temperatures. It is semi-clear, so you get a limited view inside the line.

Tygon rubber tubing can handle the lowest temperatures. It is opaque, so you cannot see inside the line.

Semi-flexible tubing is good for gradual bends.

Continuous-Flex Soft Plastic and Rubber Tubing for Food, Beverage, and Dairy

Opaque

Typically used in applications requiring movement, such as metering (peristaltic) pumps and robotics, this tubing can handle repeated bending and flexing. It's also suitable for use with food and beverage. Tubing doesn’t contain plasticizers like DEHP, so it won’t impart tastes or odors to the fluid passing through it.

Rubber tubing meets NSF/ANSI standards for food contact. It is opaque, so you cannot see inside the line. It is semi-flexible, so it is good for gradual bends. All is either Tygon or comparable to Tygon. Tygon rubber tubing is also 3-A certified to meet sanitary design standards.

Not only is this tubing cured with platinum for high purity, it can handle higher temperatures than any of our other high-purity soft tubing. It is free of plasticizers like DEHP and will not impart tastes or odors to the fluid running through it. Tubing is not for use in medical applications. It is semi-clear, so you get a limited view inside the line. Tubing is flexible and bends easily around objects.

Tubing with a polyester braid reinforcement has extra strength to withstand higher pressures than nonreinforced tubing.

Tubing with a pump tube number is designed for use with metering (peristaltic) pumps; it can handle repeated bending and flexing.

High-Purity Soft Plastic and Rubber Tubing

Clear Tubing

Designed for high-purity processes, this tubing is made without plasticizers like DEHP that can contaminate the fluid passing through it. It meets USP Class VI specifications for material testing; it is not for use in medical applications. Tubing is clear or semi-clear, so you can monitor flow. It’s also flexible and easily bends around objects.

TPE plastic tubing is extremely flexible. It’s often used as an alternative to silicone tubing for high-purity bioprocessing, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and peristaltic pump applications.

Tubing with braid reinforcement has extra strength to handle higher pressures than nonreinforced tubing.

Connect tubing in sanitary food processing areas with frequent washdowns. Certified by EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group) to meet sanitary design standards, these fittings have a smooth, polished surface with no pits or crevices where bacteria could grow. All edges are rounded and there are no horizontal ledges, so liquids drain and debris is easy to wash off. Rated IP69K, these fittings can handle the high pressures and temperatures of washdowns common in sanitary cleaning protocols. Made of stainless steel, they won’t corrode from water or harsh cleaners.

The seals on these fittings keep out water and contaminants. They also prevent metal-to-metal contact, which can create small gaps that trap bacteria. FDA compliant, the seals are safe for contact with food. Since they’re bright blue, they’re easy to spot if they fall off into your line.

These fittings have a single sleeve (ferrule) that bites into plastic tubing to make a seal—no heating, flaring, or soldering tools required. They’re also known as flareless fittings. Since they’re threaded, you can take apart their connections as needed for maintenance and repair.
