Mounting Tape
Often used to install carpet, padding, and linoleum. Cotton cloth tape is thicker and stronger than polypropylene and polyethylene tape, but polypropylene and polyethylene tape form stronger bonds.

Light Duty Mounting Tape
Use this tape for light duty mounting, as well as to splice paper, foil, film, and fabric.
Off-white tape has a high-tack adhesive that bonds quickly to most surfaces.

Flame-Retardant Mounting Tape
Made with fire-retardant cotton cloth, this tape is often used to install carpet, padding, and linoleum on stairs and floors.

Tissue Mounting Tape
This thin paper tape has a high-bond adhesive on both sides that sticks to glossy surfaces and hard-to-bond plastics. The liner is oversized to lift away easily.

Masking Tape for Plastic Sheeting
A high-tack adhesive on one side sticks to plastic sheeting, and a clean-release adhesive on the other side can be removed without surface damage for up to 21 days. Use it to mask large areas and seal out dust and dirt. Also known as containment tape.

Matting Tape
This tape has an odorless, pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides to secure mats to the floor. It is easy to remove and reposition.
Rayon tape can only be used on hard floors. Place one square in each corner of a mat or rug up to 4 ft. × 6 ft.
Polyester tape can be used on both carpeted and hard floors. Apply strips every 2-3 ft. along the edge of a mat or rug.
