Disposable Hoods

Breathable to keep you cool and comfortable, these hoods protect against dirt and grime. An elastic face opening keeps hair in and contaminants out.
Polypropylene offers economical protection in environments where abrasion resistance and liquid splashes are not a concern.
Tyvek polyethylene provides better tear and abrasion resistance than polypropylene. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. It is made of heat- and pressure-bonded fibers that form a barrier that's soft yet strong.
Kleenguard polypropylene is made of five layers of nonwoven fabric, so it is more abrasion resistant and harder to tear than Tyvek polyethylene. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. The material is antistatic, so it protects sensitive equipment from electrostatic discharge.
Disposable Clean Room Hoods

Designed to meet clean room standards, these hoods prevent dust particles and microbes on you from contaminating a space. Made of Tyvek polyethylene, they hold up to limited contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. The heat- and pressure-bonded fibers make these hoods soft yet strong. You can throw them out after you’re done using them.

Shop Hoods


These hoods protect against paint and dust. Wear with protective eyewear.
Style A are also known as paint spray hoods. The interior is large enough to wear a respirator under the hood. These hoods are made of lightweight, breathable cotton with a polycarbonate lens.
Style B are often worn during abrasive blasting and grinding jobs. They are made of durable cotton duck fabric with an acrylic lens that is reinforced with a mesh screen. An internal bump cap protects your head against impact from flying debris. Mesh vents on the sides and back provide some breathability.
Aluminized Hoods for Heat Protection

Protect your head and neck from extreme heat. To fit your head, these hoods use an adjustable ratchet suspension. There's enough room inside to wear glasses, goggles, or a respirator.
Rayon provides good radiant-heat protection as well as moderate spark protection and protection against molten metal splashes.
Kevlar/Nomex aramid blend combines good heat resistance with excellent abrasion and cut resistance, in addition to offering protection against molten metal splashes.
Kevlar aramid/Melamine blend is a strong, lighter weight fabric that offers good heat resistance without the bulk of other Kevlar blends.
Carbon/Kevlar aramid blend is a heavyweight fabric that lasts longer than other Kevlar blends. It combines good heat resistance with excellent abrasion and cut resistance. It provides protection against molten metal splashes.

Arc-Flash-Protection Hoods

These hoods meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 4. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Each hood has a hard hat with adjustable headgear and a face shield with an antifog coating.
Optional fan (sold separately) mounts on your hood and pumps air inside using a fan motor. It operates on four AA batteries (not included).
Respirator Hoods






Replace your respirator hood or swap it out for a new style. Select a hood compatible with your respirator for a comfortable, loose fit.
Hoods made from Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tyvek QC) are chemical resistant.
Bullard 20LF series hoods are an alternative to a full-face respirator. They cover your face and the top of your head but not your ears and neck.
Bullard CC20 series hoods are a good all-around full-coverage option. They efficiently filter out airborne contaminants. Those with a hard hat protect your head from impact, such as from falling objects. Those with a ratchet suspension tighten and loosen with an easy-turn knob, so they’re more adjustable than hoods without a suspension.
Bullard GR50 series hoods are made with Nomex fabric, which is extra durable while still being lightweight and comfortable. They protect you better than hoods made from Tychem 2000 in grinding and sparking applications as well as at high temperatures.
Bullard Sightline series hoods have a wraparound lens that gives you 320° of unobstructed peripheral vision. The lens also helps these hoods feel less confining.
3M S-Series hoods are compatible with 3M TR-300, 600, and 800 series respirators. 3M S-403L-20 hoods are light duty, so they’re the standard choice to protect against dust and other particles in the air. 3M S-403L-5 hoods extend over the neck and shoulders. They have an adjustable, built-in suspension to personalize the fit.
