Find a chain style and capacity that's up to any task, from hanging a 5 lb. light fixture to rigging a 17 ton generator.

Extra Heavy Duty Chain for Lifting

Image of Product. Front orientation. Chain. Extra Heavy Duty Chain for Lifting.
Lift, hoist, and rig heavy equipment, vehicles, containers, and more with the strongest chain we offer. This chain is graded by weight capacity, so you can pick the best option whether you're hauling a bulldozer or unloading cargo from a ship. Look for the manufacturer's stamp on each link to confirm the grade.
When using fittings with chain, match the trade size and meet or exceed the chain’s grade to avoid chain damage or failure.
Warning: Never use chain to lift people or items over people.
Grade 80 Chain—Your go-to option for most lifting jobs. Rig and lift industrial vehicles, heavy machinery, and shipping containers with this chain.
Grade 100 Chain—For exceptionally heavy lifting jobs. It's approximately 25% stronger than Grade 80 chain to handle larger loads and continuous lifting tasks in settings such as construction and mining.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause this chain to rust.
Black Painted Steel—Best for dry environments as paint may chip and corrode over time.
Black Zinc-Plated Steel—A common and economical choice, the zinc plating resists occasional moisture.

    Heavy Duty Chain

Image of Product. Front orientation. Chain. Heavy Duty Chain.
Bind, tie down and tow loads with this chain. This chain is graded based on weight capacity, so you'll always know exactly how much it can handle. Look for the manufacturer's stamp on each link to confirm the grade.
When using fittings with chain, match the trade size and meet or exceed the chain’s grade to avoid chain damage or failure.
    Warning: Not for overhead lifting.
Grade 30 Chain—An economical choice for everyday industrial jobs that require only moderate strength. It's commonly used to create guardrails and to secure loads on farms and construction sites.
Grade 43 Chain—50% stronger than Grade 30 chain, this chain is great for towing as well as quickly securing and releasing large loads when logging.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause this chain to rust.

Wear Gauges for Grade 80 and Grade 100 Chain

Image of Product. Front orientation. Chain Wear Gauges. Wear Gauges for Grade 80 and Grade 100 Chain.
Gauge measures the maximum allowable wear tolerances on links of Grade 80 or Grade 100 steel chain, as required by OSHA. If the gauge can be inserted over any part of the link, the chain should be taken out of service.

Hammer the pin through the center to assemble these links. They’re also known as hammer locks and sling links. Often used to connect the legs of chain sling to a master link, these links are good for general lifting applications. All meet strict ASME safety standards for lifting.
Note: Connecting links are for vertical lifting only.
For Grade 100 Chain—Links for Grade 100 chain are approximately 20% stronger than links for Grade 80 chain.
Powder-Coated Alloy Steel—Powder-coated alloy steel links have mild corrosion resistance.

    Oblong Chain Rings—For Lifting

Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Chain Rings. Oblong Chain Rings—For Lifting.
Also known as master and sling links, a large inner diameter provides room to attach multiple connectors or legs on a sling. Use these chain rings in general lifting applications. All meet strict ASME safety standards for lifting.
Note: Capacities listed are for vertical lifting only. As the angle changes from vertical, the amount of weight the chain ring can lift is significantly reduced.
For Grade 100 Chain—Chain rings for Grade 100 chain are approximately 20% stronger than chain rings for Grade 80 chain.
Powder-Coated Alloy Steel—Powder-coated alloy steel chain rings have mild corrosion resistance.
Forged—Forged chain rings offer greater strength than welded chain rings.
Flat Thickness—Chain rings with a flat have a spot that's thinner than the rest of the chain ring, so you can slip on connectors that otherwise wouldn't fit. The flat doesn't affect the capacity of the chain ring.

    Pin

Your go-to choice for connecting hooks, slings, and other rigging and lifting equipment. The rounded body on these shackles supports vertical or side loads without fatiguing or warping the shape. They meet ASME specifications for rigging and lifting, so they can hoist everything from steel beams to bulldozers. Look for the manufacturer's stamp to confirm the size and weight capacity. Also known as bow shackles.
Note: Capacities listed are for vertical lifting only. As the lift angle changes from vertical, the amount of weight the shackle can lift is significantly reduced.
Flush Hammer-Set-Dowel Pin—Hammer in two dowel pins to hold the pin in place. These shackles stay put even under heavy, shifting loads and in long-term rigging setups. They also won't snag on clothing or other nearby material.
High-Strength Powder-Coated Alloy Steel—The powder-coating won't chip off as easily as paint. These shackles combine the strength of alloy steel with corrosion resistance in wet and outdoor environments.

    With Handle

For a more secure connection than standard hooks, these hooks have a latch that locks closed when a load is lifted. A ball-bearing swivel allows them to rotate under a load. These hooks are made for Grade 100 chain, so they are approximately 20% stronger than hooks for Grade 80 chain. Made of powder-coated steel, they resist some corrosion.
Note: Capacities are for vertical lifting only.
With Handle—Hooks with a handle give you a spot to grab the hook and direct the load, keeping your hand out of harm’s way.

    With Handle

For a more secure connection than standard hooks, the latch locks closed when a load is applied.

For Grade 100 Chain—High-strength hooks for Grade 100 chain are approximately 20% stronger than hooks for Grade 80 chain.
