Handle the three most common types of fire—those involving wood and paper, liquids and gases, and electrical equipment. The UL rating for Class A and B extinguishers includes a number; the higher the number, the greater the firefighting capability. Extinguishers have a safety pin to prevent accidental discharge. Please check local ordinances for inspection requirements (inspection tags sold separately).
Wet chemical (Halotron) extinguishers don’t leave a residue behind. Good for use around electrical equipment. They cannot be sold to Canada due to local chemical regulations.

Class B and C Fire Extinguishers
B—Liquids

Fight flammable liquid, gas, grease, and electrical fires. The UL rating for Class B extinguishers includes a number; the higher the number, the greater the firefighting capability. Extinguishers have a safety pin to prevent accidental discharge. Please check local ordinances for inspection requirements (inspection tags sold separately).
Wet chemical (Halotron) extinguishers don’t leave a residue behind. Good for use around electrical equipment. They cannot be sold to Canada due to local chemical regulations.
Carbon dioxide extinguishers won't corrode electrical equipment and are a good alternative to Halotron extinguishers.
Dry chemical (Purple K) extinguishers are the most effective in fighting Class B fires and are commonly used in garages and fuel transfer areas.

Self-Activating Fire Extinguishers
When flames start to rise, these fire extinguishers automatically put them out. They start spraying if the temperature hits 165° F. Mount them in enclosed spaces where fire is a concern, such as liquid storage rooms. These extinguishers can handle fires involving wood and paper, liquids and gases, and electrical equipment. They can activate once.
