    Copper Wire

Image of Product. Front orientation. Copper. Copper Wire.
Highly conductive and soft enough to form, copper wire is the go-to for electrical jobs. It's often used to power motors, create grounding, and wire control panels, lights, and transformers.
Tin-Coated 110 Copper—More corrosion resistant and easier to solder than uncoated 110 copper wire.
High-Temperature Nickel-Clad 101 Copper—Stays corrosion resistant and conductive in temperatures as hot as 1200° F.

    Ultra-High-Temperature Niobium Wire

Image of Product. Front orientation. Niobium. Ultra-High-Temperature Niobium Wire.
This niobium wire has a higher melting point than most other metal, so it’s also known as refractory metal. It's highly conductive, corrosion resistant, and maintains its strength even at high temperatures. At low temperatures, it becomes a superconductor. This wire holds up in a variety of tough conditions including jet engines, pipelines, and semiconductor manufacturing.

    Gold Wire

Image of Product. Front orientation. Gold.
Used to make electrical connectors that are exposed to air and corrosive conditions, this 99.99% pure gold wire stays highly conductive where other conductors would fail. It also has a high melting point, low thermal resistance, and won’t oxidize, so it’s good for making parts that remain accurate in extreme environments. Compared to platinum, gold is more conductive but has a lower melting point. It’s often used to make O-rings, even for high-vacuum applications, because it’s soft enough to form a good seal when pressed between two flanges, yet won’t damage the flanges so you can reuse them.

    Ultra-High-Temperature Molybdenum Wire

Image of Product. Front orientation. Molybdenum. Ultra-High-Temperature Molybdenum Wire, Spool.

    Spool

Able to handle high melting points and conduct heat and electricity, this 99.95% pure molybdenum wire is often used in lights to create a support for filaments. It resists oxidation and won’t corrode. Molybdenum is better at conducting heat and electricity than tantalum and platinum, which also have high melting points. It is not, however, as corrosion resistant.

    Ultra-High-Temperature Tantalum Wire

Harder than platinum and able to withstand higher temperatures than gold, this 99.98% pure tantalum wire also resists corrosion and conducts heat. It’s often used in heating elements for furnaces.

    Platinum Wire

Image of Product. Front orientation. Platinum. Platinum Wire.
99.95% pure, this platinum wire is used for applications that require a soft material that resists corrosion and oxidation and has a high melting point. This wire allows heat and electricity to pass and resists oxide buildup, making it ideal for thermocouple probes, which require accurate readings even at high temperatures. Soft enough to create a good seal between two flanges, it's also used to make high-vacuum O-rings. Platinum's softness means it won't damage the flanges, so they can be used again. The high melting point of this wire makes it a better choice for sealing heated flanges than other materials such as gold.
