Dry-Film Lubricants

These lubricants go on wet for easy application. Once dry, they form a nonstick film that won't attract dust. Use them for general purpose lubricating in most applications.
Lubricants with oil are thin and won’t stain. Lubricants with moly (molybdenum disulfide) withstand high loads and have excellent wear resistance. Lubricants with silicone are clear, have excellent water resistance, and can be used on most rubber and plastic. Lubricants with graphite have good heat and wear resistance. Lubricants with PTFE can be used on most rubber and plastic surfaces. Aerosol can with a flip-up straw has a straw that’s attached to the nozzle, so it won’t get lost. Raise it for precision dispensing; lower it for storage or to dispense as a spray. Lubricants with boron nitride resist corrosion from salt water and won’t wash off. Lubricants with ceramic are often used in extreme-temperature applications, such as welding, metal processing, and glassmaking.
CRC 3-36 Ultra Lite dries out electronic components and dries to form a water-repellent seal.
DuPont Molykote 557 Silicone Dry Film is often used on blades to keep them sharp longer. DuPont Molykote D-321 R Anti-Friction withstands extreme temperatures and is long lasting.
Dri Slide lubricants have good corrosion resistance. Use Dri Slide EP Liquid Grease for extreme-pressure applications, such as with open gears and dies, wire drawing, and stamping.
Sprayon LU 204 Dry Film Graphite has good corrosion resistance and is conductive.
Lubricants that cannot be sold outside the United States are restricted by product labeling requirements.

Long-Life Dry-Film Lubricants

Nano-sized additives fill small surface imperfections, reducing wear and heat to extend the life of both the lubricant and equipment. These lubricants dry to form a nonstick film that won’t attract dust. They are often used on hinges, gears, and roller chain.
Food Industry Dry-Film Lubricants

Use these NSF registered H1 lubricants in food-processing and preparation areas with a risk of incidental food contact. They form a nonstick film that won't attract contaminants, such as flour.
Lubricants with silicone can be used with plastic. Lubricants with PTFE have small particles of PTFE that fill in surface imperfections for excellent lubricity.

Dry-Film Lubricants for Chain

A high load-carrying capacity makes these lubricants good for use on chain and moving metal parts. They dry to form a film that lubricates without attracting dust.
Lubricants with graphite have good heat and excellent wear resistance. Lubricants with PTFE can be used with most plastics and are chemically inert.
Conveyor Rail and Chute Dry-Film Lubricants

Prevent packages from sticking on conveyor rails and chutes. Made with silicone, use these lubricants to create a slippery dry film that won’t attract dust where metal and non-metal surfaces meet.
Overhead Door Dry-Film Lubricants

Spray these wear-resistant lubricants on rollers, hinges, and tracks of overhead doors to reduce friction and noise. PTFE provides excellent lubricity, while silicone repels water for use outdoors. Once dry, these lubricants form a thin lubricating layer that won’t rub off or attract dust.
Dry-Film Lubricants for Wire Rope and Cable

Made of graphite in a thin oil, these lubricants penetrate wire rope and cable to the core. When the oil evaporates, it leaves behind a dry film of graphite that prevents wear and corrosion throughout the rope without attracting dust.
No-Residue Mold-Release Lubricants

Also known as paintable mold-release lubricants, these lubricants don’t leave a residue, so you can paint or finish the molded part without the need to clean it. Apply them to molds before casting so you can easily remove cast parts and prevent sticking, stretching, and tearing.
Lubricants with PTFE create a long-lasting film that withstands high temperatures.
