Disposable-Canister Inline Hydraulic Fluid Filters
Also known as spin-on filters, cartridges thread directly onto the filter head. A pressure relief valve protects against excess pressure that can build up when a cartridge is clogged. When the difference in pressure before and after the filter exceeds the opening pressure, the relief valve opens.
Filters with fiberglass-media cartridges trap and hold more particles than paper cartridges, extending their life.
Filters with paper-media cartridges are more economical than filters with fiberglass media, but they need to be replaced more frequently.

Dual Disposable-Canister Inline Hydraulic Fluid Filters
Replace filters less often. When one filter becomes clogged, the other provides filtration until you can shut down the system and change the cartridges. Unscrew the bowl to change the filter cartridge. A pressure relief valve protects against excess pressure that can build up when a cartridge is clogged. When the difference in pressure before and after the filter exceeds the opening pressure, the relief valve opens. A pop-up indicator prompts you to change the filter cartridge. UN/UNF (SAE Straight) thread connections have straight threads and are also known as O-ring Boss fittings.
