Medium-Strength Steel Coupling Nuts—Grade 5
Also known as extension nuts, use these to connect and extend threaded rods.
Zinc-plated steel coupling nuts resist corrosion in wet environments.
Hot-dipped galvanized steel coupling nuts have a thick coating for better corrosion resistance than zinc-plated steel nuts. They must be used with other hot-dipped galvanized fasteners.
