When these detectors sense high levels of combustible and toxic gases, they alert you with an audible alarm, warning light, and vibrating alarm. You can adjust the alarm trigger points to suit your environment. There is also a motion sensor that sounds an alarm if the user becomes disabled.
A calibration check must be performed on detectors before each use to verify that they are working properly. The check requires a regulator and cylinder (sold separately).
Note: LEL is lower explosive limit.

Use the probe on these detectors to test the air in a hazardous area before entering. Great for confined spaces. Detectors alert you with an audible alarm, warning light, and vibrating alarm in the presence of combustible and toxic gases. You can adjust the alarm trigger points to suit your environment. An audible alarm and warning light alert you to the presence of propane, methane, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide. These detectors have a relay for connection to auxiliary alarm systems. A programmable timer allows you to set whether the relay alarm is triggered immediately, or after 4 or 8 minutes of continuous gas exposure. The reset button suspends the alarm and restarts the cycle for 5 to 8 minutes in case of false alarm.

Early-Warning Surface-Mount Hydrogen Detectors

This detector triggers a “caution” alert when a small amount of hydrogen is detected and a second “danger” alert if levels continue to rise.
1% Trigger Point—When hydrogen concentration reaches 1% by volume, a yellow warning light illuminates and the first relay closes to trigger a remote exhaust fan and/or alarm.
2% Trigger Point—When hydrogen reaches 2%, a red warning light illuminates, an alarm sounds, and the second relay closes to activate another remote exhaust fan and/or alarm.
