Zinc-plated springs have mild corrosion resistance.
Stainless steel springs have good corrosion resistance. They’re generally easier to extend than steel springs.
Passivated stainless steel springs are more corrosion resistant than unfinished stainless steel springs.
To Order: Please specify the following:
1) End type: loop, hook, double loop, side loop; if you don’t see your end type, please select 9533K999.
2) Material: music-wire steel, spring-tempered steel, stainless steel, or other material.
3) Finish: plain, zinc-plated, or passivated (for stainless steel only).
4) Dimensions: length, body length, OD, and wire diameter.

Whatever the size, we'll get the spring you need. Send us a description, drawing, or sample of the torsion spring you require.
Deflection angle represents the angle between the legs as well as the maximum spring rotation. All springs rotate until their legs are parallel. For example, a spring with a 90° deflection angle will rotate a maximum of 90°. Maximum torque is the torque required to rotate the spring legs to the parallel position.
Torsion springs should be used in the direction in which the coils are wound. Left-hand wound springs wind clockwise toward you. Right-hand wound springs wind counterclockwise toward you.
Zinc-plated springs have mild corrosion resistance.
Stainless steel springs have good corrosion resistance. They’re generally easier to rotate than steel springs.
To Order: Select a deflection angle, and then please specify the following:
1) Wind direction: right hand or left hand.
2) Material: music-wire steel, stainless steel, or other material.
3) Finish: plain or zinc plated.
4) Dimensions: OD, wire diameter, leg length, and number of coils.

Keep these springs on hand so you can cut the right length whenever you need it.
As you squeeze a die spring, it gets harder to push. Spring rate is the amount of force required for every inch of compression. The higher the spring rate, the harder it is to compress the spring.
To determine the spring rate of a cut spring, first multiply the spring’s original length by the spring rate given, then divide the result by the cut length (in inches).
