Low-Carbon Steel I-Beams

- Yield Strength: 50,000 psi
- Hardness: Not Rated
- Heat Treatable: Yes
- Specifications Met: ASTM A992
Made of rigid low-carbon steel, these I-beams are often used in construction, framing, lifting, and hoisting applications. Also known as mild steel, low-carbon steel is the most commonly used material for I-beams. It deflects less under load than medium- or high-carbon steel and is less likely to crack from welding. These I-beams have rounded corners, and are also known as American Standard I-beams. They weigh less than low-carbon steel H-bars, but are not as strong.

Low-Carbon Steel H-Bars

- Yield Strength: 50,000 psi
- Hardness: Not Rated
- Heat Treatable: Yes
- Maximum Hardness After Heat Treatment: Not Rated
- Specifications Met: ASTM A992
Made of stiff low-carbon steel to deflect less under load, these H-bars are commonly used in machine bases, construction, platforms, and frames. Because of its rigidity, low-carbon steel is the most commonly used material for H-bars. These H-bars are less likely to crack from welding than those made of higher-carbon steels, and easier to weld than I-beams because they have a straight flange instead of a radius flange. H-bars are stronger than I-beams, but also heavier.

Multipurpose 304 Stainless Steel
From cookware to chemical-processing equipment, 304 stainless steel is a good all-around choice for a wide range of applications. It maintains its corrosion resistance in temperatures up to 1500° F.
Bars with sheared edges are also known as Gauer bar and are sheared from plate.
H-bars have larger flange widths and thicknesses than I-beams, so they’re stronger and carry heavier loads, yet also weigh more. I-beams are lighter weight than H-bars, but they're not as strong. Use them when weight is a concern.

Beam Trolleys

Also known as end trucks, use these trolleys with your own beams to create a crane. For example, use two trolleys to allow a beam to move along two structural beams. Bumpers on the trolley body protect the wheels.
Top/bottom-mount trolleys allow you to run your moving beam along either the top or bottom of your fixed beams.
Bottom-mount trolleys are used on the bottom of fixed beams.
Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.

Corrosion-Resistant I-Beam Roller Track for Doors and Curtains
Built to withstand corrosive marine environments, track is anodized aluminum and hangers are 316 stainless steel. Combine track and hangers to create a system for hanging doors and curtains. Some components that fit together are rated for different capacities; the capacity of your system is determined by the component with the lowest capacity.
Track mounts using bolts (sold separately). Nine bolts are required for every 3 ft. of track. For extra stability, mount an additional track to the floor as a guide.
Clevis-pin hanger has three clevis pins to hold doors and curtains up to 1/2" thick. Hanger can be used individually as well as in pairs.
Mounting-loop hanger has a loop with a 1/4" dia. opening to attach doors and curtains with carabiners, S-hooks, and shackles (not included). Hanger can be used individually as well as in pairs.
End stops prevent hangers from rolling off the track.
