Nutdriver Bits

Also known as nut setters, these bits turn hex nuts and cap screws.
Hex shank bits (also known as insert bits) are used in hand drivers or with a bit adapter in power tools.
Hex shank bits for power tools have a groove in the shank and fit directly into power tools without an adapter. They offer more reach for recessed holes and less wobble compared to a hex shank bit used with an adapter.

Fastener-Holding Nutdriver Bits

A mechanism inside the bit holds hex nuts and cap screws in place.
Bits with magnet hold steel fasteners.
Bits with retaining ring hold plastic and stainless steel fasteners and won’t attract loose metal parts and shavings like a magnetic bit.

Extra-Grip Fastener-Holding Nutdriver Bits

Because they make contact on the flat sides of fasteners rather than only on the corners, these bits significantly reduce slipping and stripping. The groove in the shank fits directly into power tools. They are also known as lobular bits.

Torque-Measuring Bit Adapters

Eliminate the need for multiple bulky tools with these bit adapters. At less than 3 inches long, these compact adapters convert 1/4" bit screwdriver handles and 1/4" bits into torque scredrivers so you can fasten to a specific torque. Insert your drive handle and turn clockwise until the hash marks line up with the torque value you need. Not for use with power tools.

Reversible-Bit Screwdriver/Nutdrivers

Bits have a different tip at each end and snap into the shaft. A ball detent holds the bit in place. To use as nutdriver, remove the bit and turn fasteners with the shaft, which is also reversible.
Ultra-grip drivers have a multicomponent handle that provides comfort and the best possible grip for achieving maximum torque. For those without a voltage detector, bits turn four screw sizes and the shaft two external hex sizes. Those with a voltage detector safely test for AC voltage without contacting live wires. Light and sound indicators alert you when over 50 volts AC is detected. The detector is attached to the tool’s handle; remove it from the handle to use it on its own. Bits turn eight screw sizes and the shaft three external hex sizes.
Cushion-grip drivers offer comfort and some slip resistance. Bits turn eight screw sizes and the shaft three external hex sizes.

Stubby Reversible-Bit Screwdriver/Nutdrivers

When working in tight spaces, these short drivers fit where others can't. Bits have a different tip at each end and snap into the shaft. A ball detent holds the bit in place. To use as nutdriver, remove the bit and turn fasteners with the shaft, which is also reversible and turns two external hex sizes. Drivers have a cushion grip for comfort and some slip resistance.
