Washdown Pin-and-Sleeve Connectors

When mated, these connectors create a watertight NEMA 4X connection that stands up to washdowns. All meet UL 1686 and are fully interchangeable with other UL 1686 configured and listed devices.

IEC Pin-and-Sleeve Connectors

The international standard for industrial high-power connections. These connectors are color-coded by voltage and mechanically keyed so incorrect mating is physically impossible, even across manufacturers. Deep-insertion poles lock against accidental disconnection and seal out moisture.

Pin-and-Sleeve Connector Designation—The ground connection pin is counted in the number of wires for IEC 60309 pin-and-sleeve connector designation. For example, a 2-pole, 3-wire (2P3W) device has two poles, plus a ground connection pin, for a total count of three wires.

Washdown Switch-Rated Pin-and-Sleeve Connectors

Connect and disconnect with the power on—spring-loaded contacts open like a switch when separating the connectors, preventing an electrical arc. When mated, these connectors create a watertight connection that stands up to washdowns. They meet UL 2682 so they are approved as switch-rated connectors for branch circuit and motor circuit disconnect switching.
