Solvent-Based Parts Washing Solutions

Leave a corrosion-resistant film on parts after washing. These solutions have a mild odor and contain no chlorinated solvents. They cannot be sold to the areas listed because they exceed local regulatory limits on VOC (volatile organic compounds).
Note: Use only at room temperature; do not heat.
Solutions with 141° flash point are known as high-flash-point solutions.

Water-Based Parts Washing Solutions

Clean faster by heating these solutions up to 140°. After washing, parts can be rinsed with water.
Dilute liquid concentrate with water. 5-gallon pail makes up to 50 gallons of solution. 55-gallon drum makes up to 500 gallons of solution.
Mix three to eight ounces of powder per gallon of water.

Also known as semi-aqueous cleaning solutions, these consist of water and other components such as ammonia or citrus. They clean parts with heavy contamination such as buffing and lapping compounds.
Water-based solution can be diluted with water to make up to 10 gallons.
Water-based solutions with ammonia or citrus can be diluted with water to make up to 7 gallons.
Note: Solution with ammonia should be tested before using with plastic. Do not heat.
