    Quick-Release Pins for Blind Holes

Often used to position and hold parts during assembly and inspection, mate these pins with a receptacle to secure them in blind holes. Install the receptacle (sold separately) in the hole so you can insert the pin to join components. Three retaining balls lock pins in place until released.

    Quarter-Turn Quick-Change Fixture Clamps

Image of System. Side1 orientation. Exploded view. Contains Annotated. Fixture Clamps. Quarter-Turn Quick-Change Fixture Clamps.
Install these clamps into fixture plates, machine subplates, and tombstones to quickly swap components in or out of your machining setup. They lock or unlock with the turn of a knob. Since they locate while they clamp, you can accurately position components with repeatability of ±0.1".
For accurate positioning, use at least two sets of clamps and cam receptacles. Install receptacles into a base plate and clamps into a fixture plate. Line up the two plates, insert the clamps into the receptacles, then turn the knobs to secure your fixture in place. If you need more holding capacity, use additional clamps and receptacles.

    Fastener Mount

    Thread In

Fastener Mount—Fastener-mount receptacles have three recessed holes on the face so you can secure them to your base plate with the included screws.
Thread In—Thread-in receptacles have a threaded body for installation in a tapped hole. You hold them in place with the included nut, so they’re good for thin base plates.

    Ring-Grip Quick-Release Pins

The most common choice for tight spaces. The split ring folds down when these pins are installed, and you can pull with just one finger to remove. Keep them from getting lost by adding a lanyard, or choose a pin that includes one. You can also attach tags to the ring to identify components. Pins have a retaining ball to hold them in place.
    Brass

360 Brass—Often used outdoors, these pins resist corrosion and won’t become brittle and snap in low temperatures. Brass is softer than other metals, however, so pins could deform under stress.

Best for thick panels. Use an arbor press or similar pressure tool to install these spring plungers into the outer panel.
Steel Nose—The strongest, most wear-resistant noses, these won't deform from stress and vibration. Steel is best for dry environments, however, since moisture will cause it to rust.

    Build-Your-Own Amphenol Circuit Board Connectors

Attach wires to your circuit board with these Amphenol PV connectors. They push together, so they're easy to connect and disconnect yet still give you a strong, secure hold. Even after repeated use, they won’t lose their connection strength. First designed for use in solar power—the PV stands for photovoltaic—they’re also used in equipment ranging from small electronics to industrial robots.
For a complete connection, choose a plug and housing with the number of poles that matches the number of wires you need to connect. You’ll also need one sleeve for each wire.
    Circuit Board Plugs
Image of Product. Front orientation. Amphenol Connectors. Build-Your-Own Amphenol Circuit Board Connectors, Circuit Board Plugs.
Plugs have a friction clip to securely hold a housing when mated. An alignment key ensures the plug and housing are mated correctly, which is helpful when you can't get a good look during installation. To install a plug on your circuit board, push their contacts through the board's holes and solder them in place.

Mount these sockets to fixtures, attach wire from your electrical testing equipment, and add Spring Test Probes to create automated systems to test continuity in circuit boards. Use a probe that has the same minimum spacing between probe centers and has the specified barrel length. Test probes and sockets are sold separately.
When installing test probes and sockets, adhere to the "minimum spacing between probe centers" to maximize testing points while preventing probes from interfering with each other.
Quick-Disconnect-Terminal Wire Connection—Sockets with a quick-disconnect terminal connection require an adapter (sold separately) to quickly and easily connect and disconnect your wire from the socket terminal. All of these sockets click in place for a hold that’s more secure than wraparound wire terminal connections, but less secure than solder connections. They also have sleeving for electrical insulation.
Jack—Sockets with a jack have a lower profile and offer a more secure hold than those with a plug. Use a crimper (not included) to install wire onto the adapter. These sockets can’t be reused due to their crimped connection.
Plug—Sockets with a plug offer the fastest wire installation time. Simply slide the plug over the wire and barbs will grip the wire sleeving—no need for crimpers. These sockets can be reused. They are not, however, as secure as those with a jack because their hold can loosen over time.
Wraparound Connection—For sockets with a wraparound wire terminal connection, install wire by winding it around the squared terminal on the socket. Their connection is not as secure as quick-disconnect terminal and solder connections. Add additional sheathing, such as heat-shrink tubing (not included), for electrical insulation.

    Circuit Board D-Sub Connectors

Add a D-sub connection to a printed circuit board (PCB). These connectors are often used in applications involving monitoring, control, and communication. All meet UL 94 V-0 flame retardant standards for self-extinguishing if a fire takes place.
